  • beautiful oasis

"We had a wonderful stay at the Sandy River Cabin! Everything exceeded our expectations. The river is soothing and gorgeous. We enjoyed the backyard and fire pit every evening. The house is spacious, clean and well stocked. The appliances are all upgraded, the kitchen table is huge - it was a wonderful space. It is an easy drive to Mt. Hood and all its attractions. Wonderful week!"

  • AMAZING - SECLUDED - PEACEFUL!

"From the moment we arrived we were in awe of the beautiful home and the peaceful surroundings. This place is amazing! It is even better than what the pictures show actually! It is privately nestled inside of trees and sits right next to the river. Upon opening the door we were welcomed by the beautiful view of the deck and the river through the full floor to ceiling windows! The home was very welcoming and we loved the layout with 2 master suites on the main floor on opposite ends of the home – plus 2 more bedrooms and a bonus room on the 2nd level along with the pool table room. There was plenty of room for 8 adults to have lots of fun together – whether hanging in the living room, on the deck, around the HUGE table, playing pool, or sitting around the FABULOUS fire pit! The layout of the home also allowed for some solitude / naps if needed. The dining room table was PERFECT – providing ample space for our delicious meals as well as some game time. The pool table located on the 2nd floor provided LOTS of fun for us. The hot tub is located just off of the deck and those who used it said it was great! And the fire pit was absolutely a favorite part of our time! We enjoyed early morning coffee while watching the eagles, hawks, and geese in their habitat. And we enjoyed the evening fires as we shared stories and listened to the choir of frogs. The renting process was easy and the homeowner was quick to respond when we needed to communicate with her. We would recommend bringing extra chairs for around the fire (although we used the chairs from the set on the deck). And maybe bring some extra paper towels and garbage bags. We spent 3 days / nights and had a blast! We were so comfortable that we never actually took in any of the surrounding activities or restaurants! We are definitely looking forward to staying here again in the future!"

  • A slice of heaven ~

"I have no idea how tuck away this place and it is exactly what I was looking for to get away from NYC. The drive up toward the house is narrow but so cute, like you're going into the woods... wait that is exactly it! Our host did a great job cleaning up the house upon our arrival. We only got to use the 1st floor since it's only 3 of us there and it is very spacious. I absolutely love the view from dining room and porch. Even if it's just sitting by the hot tub for a quick foot soak, I can't stop staring at the view. Just looks like I'm in the calendar pictures. Our host was very nice and even called to see if there is anything we need. I would definitely recommend my friends to visit. Thank you for everything."

  • Relaxing at Pappy's Cabin

"A great location and a very relaxing time. It's far enough from the beaten path as not to realize it's there but close enough to all modern conveniences. The sound of the Sandy will mesmerize and remain in your mind!"
