  • Beautiful secluded cabin in a friendly village!

"The cabin was great, it was secluded and beautiful. The cabin itself was in good shape, the only problems I had was the the light in the backyard where the hot tub was wasn't working, as well as the outside surround sound for the stereo but besides those two small problems, our stay was perfect. We had 5 people and an old dog, the cabin had some board games and good television. Overall, we were pretty satisfied with the cabin, and most definitely will be coming back! :)"

  • Cute little cabin in the woods!

"Pappy's cabin is in an awesome little neighborhood near the Sandy River (there are neighbors nearby, but the area was very quiet). The cabin is small but had everything we needed for a romantic get-away with access to Mt. Hood and other areas for hiking during the day. There is a path down to the river right behind the cabin. We used the stove for heat and it was almost too toasty warm! There is a nice, big deck with a table and chairs. If you sit on the deck or leave the sliding door open, you can hear the river. I love that sound! A few cons, but nothing that would stop me from staying here again: - As others have mentioned, the couch was not very comfortable. As it is the only place to sit besides the kitchen chairs, it was a bit of a bummer, especially after a 12-mile hike! - I did not find the bed particularly comfy. - There seems to be the beginnings of a wasp nest under the deck (every time we walked on the deck, the wasps showed up). The owners may not be aware of it yet. - The price seemed a bit high for a weekend in a cabin, especially since it is the off-season in the Mt. Hood area. Despite the very minor cons, I would definitely consider staying here again. It was wonderful to be able to cook our own meals, hang out on the deck, walk from the cabin to the river, and have easy access to Mt. Hood recreation. A small grocery store, Thriftway, is nearby and that was very helpful for us. Also, check out Coffee House 26, great coffee, cute place!"

  • Quiet Cabin in the Woods

"My girlfriend and I had an excellent stay at this cabin. It is tucked away in the back of a small neighborhood, so you feel like you are alone in the woods. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We loved all the small details and decorations. The actual cabin is as pretty as the pictures posted. The kitchen is great for cooking/entertaining and it was stocked with all of the basics...including coffee! The living room was great for relaxing and watching a movie or playing board games. The hot tub was very clean and was a perfect way to end the evening. It's in a great location if you are exploring the Mt. Hood wilderness area. There are local restaurants and stores nearby for convenience. I would absolutely come back again and I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a comfortable, home-like stay near Mt. Hood. The owner was very responsive with questions/requests before our stay."
