  • Awesome family vacation spot!

"We absolutely loved this cabin! Our kids loved playing in the loft area and outside in the fenced backyard. There was plenty of games & DVDs to keep them entertained. We liked that it was very cozy and well equipped. We especially enjoyed the covered back porch with skylights: even when it was pouring outside, we could BBQ and soak in the hot tub. The kids had such a great time, they did not want to leave! Thanks for all the great memories."

  • Amazing and relaxing cabin

"We are cuddled on the couch right now writing this review! Fire going, drink in hand. Came up for a weekend away, what an awesome place! Hubby loved all the interesting decor, so much history too! The place is decorated so be so very cozy and comfortable! We opened a window and the sound of the river as you fall asleep cannot be beat! And let's talk about that bed in the master suite! I have not slept that well in years! The sheets, the comforter, so amazing it as if you are in your own oasis! We cooked a meal or two, and the kitchen has everything!! Thank you to kathy for the bottle of bubbly, we enjoyed a glass while in the private hot tub! Massages at Mt. Hood Massage were great as well! WE WILL BE BACK!!!!"

  • Great home and great hosts in a great place!

"This cabin is kind of magic. It's just the right combination of things that make it great. The setting is amazing with views of the golf course, trees, firepit, and covered porch. The house is rustic and well maintained with a perfect kitchen and great room for gathering. You are so near all the great outdoor activities that everyone can do what they want to do and still meet up for lunch or dinner. Lastly, Jodi and Phillip were great. They very accurately describe the cabin in their posting so you know you will have a great experience before you get here. Then, they made sure we were perfectly set up and then stayed out of our way. Five stars for sure. We will be back."

  • Heaven on earth!

"If you're reading this review, look no further - you have found "the one" - the vacation home that truly has it all. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and are already planning to bring friends back with us next time -- the bedrooms, baths, and living areas (in other words the whole home) are spacious and comfortable enough to fit two or more families very easily. When we booked our reservation, we'd been told by several friends how this place is so amazing... yet still found ourselves astonished at the true luxury quality of it all. All of the furniture is amazingly comfortable, everything is clean, the appliances are top-notch and worked perfectly for us, and the view from every window is so beautiful. Not to mention the location is very quiet and secluded, but not actually "remote" - offering the best of both worlds. We've traveled a bit, and can say with total honesty and excitement that this is the nicest and most comfortable home away from home we have ever found, including hotels and rental homes. Not only because of how pretty everything is, but also in large part because literally EVERYthing we needed was there. Of course we didn't use every room or every feature available (we didn't end up trying the fireplace or hot tub), but I did spend a LOTTTT of time playing in the kitchen. Ohhh that kitchen <3 I could not stop saying things like "whaaaat! they have a standing mixer!" and "they even have casserole dishes... in so many sizes!!" When I wanted an apron, all I had to do was open a cabinet, and ta-da! There were aprons. There was not a single thing missing. I even marveled at the landscaping - the way everything thrived and bloomed made me feel like it was there just for us! I'll be thrilled to bring friends back, and our kids one day when we have a family, so I can use the kitchen to create a real feast and eat out on the balcony under the trees... Or brew a pot of locally-roasted coffee early in the morning, sitting out front (where there is a charming circle of chairs) listening to the birds and holding our breath to see how close the deer will come. My girl friends will love it. So will their husbands! Who wouldn't? For families with kids - this place is for you, too. Board games and DVDs galore - and lots of play space, both inside and out. All of this, paired with the perfect location for enjoying nature or driving into Portland for a day in town; it's perfection. Not to mention, the owners are incredibly hospitable. Enjoy!"
