  • Great large home for reunion

"The first comments I got from the kids was, 'this is an awesome house'! The seven bedrooms with all the beds was more then able to accommodate the 8 adults and 11 kids we had. The kids enjoyed the large yard, the play equipment and the pool table! The adults enjoyed having their own space and the wonderful view off the deck. We did bring some favorite kitchen supplies (as suggested in the ad). There are supplies for cooking but the griddle we brought was a good idea because there's only one stove with four burners. There are plenty of dishes and flatware. The home and furnishings are older and a bit outdated. It was an easy drive to Newport (30 min.) and down to Cape Perpetua (10 min.). Traffic was a little thicker on the weekend, but delightful during the week. As a vacation house, it was affordable, a good combination of size, location and things to do while there."

  • Oceanfront Jem

"Our stay at Seaweed Heceta beach was a last minute booking for 2 couples. Communication with the managing staff was quick and helpful. Very easy combo lock entry. It's a perfect setup for two couples with the up/down king beds and private bathrooms with large walk-in tiled showers. Upstairs has a very firm bed with the lower room a much softer bed so you have your choice. Great for cooking and eating while watching and listening to the waves crash. Comfy couches facing both outside and the large TV were great. Lots of viewing options and DVD for movies. WIFI was easy and worked great. Its a short walk to the beach right from your backyard. Great hikes either way to the North jetty or towards Heceta Head Lighthouse. If you want oceanfront then this home is a great option. We also enjoyed the ping pong in the garage. Fireplace with real wood was a nice plus too. Great home with so many pluses, we highly recommend!"

  • Great resort/Great condo!

"What a fabulous resort...so many amenities & very beautiful. We especially loved the stunning Deschutes River Trail accessed directly from the resort. The unit itself is clean, modern, comfortable, with stunning view of the forest and mountain. Would definitely stay here again. Thank-you!"

  • AMAZING, INCREDIBLE, FABULOUS

"I would love to tell you to avoid this rental at all costs, but that would be an outright lie. This was an amazing week of relaxation in a condo that is so perfectly located and perfectly outfitted that you will want for absolutely nothing. We hiked the trail to the bay below, we went deep sea fishing, headed north to the jet boats and lounged around enjoying the view. The owners have provided every amenity. From wi-fi to Dish TV. The rocking chairs in front of the picture window overlooking the ocean view are deadly and hard to remove yourself from. This condo has it all and it is beautifully furnished. The only thing you need to bring is clothes, toiletries and food (if you're inclined to cook or eat onsite). The kitchen has everything you need to prepare great meals. They even provide a barbecue. The location is more suited to couples looking for a place to relax. It's very quiet. There are no amenities for children. No where to play, no pools, playgrounds, nowhere to be left alone outside to enjoy the sun under the watchful eye of a parent. This condo is sitting on a cliff and could be a problem for small children. We were so impressed with our stay that while we were there we secured our next rental dates."
