  • Great place to relax while visiting the Oregon coast

"This place is very unusual and interesting. It's a renovated barn in the middle of a very large and beautiful English style garden. There are two quite comfortable and upscale bedroom suites with private bath, and a kitchenette and sitting area, all upstairs. Downstairs there are more sitting areas and a very large dining table. We enjoyed just hanging out here, but it's also just a mile from a very nice beach. We walked there in less than 15 minutes. On the walk to the beach there is a nice bakery/cafe and a grocery store. We had heard that people drive their cars onto the beach at Gearhart, but at the area we walked to there were no cars at all and no crowds either. Very relaxing. If you want more of a touristy area or more of a selection in restaurants you are only a 5-10 minute drive from Seaside. We had a great time."

  • Great Beach House for a Group

"We have rented this House at least a Dozen Times. We have rented through Beach House Vacation Rentals--online-(beachhouse1.com). The house is nicely equipped and the common area is very well laid out. The Staff at Beach House Vacation Rentals has been great to work with and our check in and check out has always gone smoothly. I recommend this house and Beach House Vacation Rentals."

  • Beautiful home in a great location

"We loved our stay in this very comfortable home. The owners were so helpful and accommodating, especially with our last minute request to bring a dog. We had a two year old and a five year old with us and they loved playing in the large great room and in the backyard. The house is close to town and very close to beach access. (Note that there is a bit of a walk through the dunes to get to the beach, however. Our kids did fine with this walk, but my mother who had injured her knee could not do it. Luckily, the house is very close to a spot where you can drive onto the beach. This was so lucky for my mom!) We vacation at the Oregon Coast each summer and we highly recommend staying in this house! Gearhart is a great place to stay. The beach is so quiet. We felt like we had our own private beach. We also enjoyed exploring Fort Stevens State Park and Astoria. We will be back!"

  • This property has been very well maintained and has the feeling of a a cozy home.

"Great, easy to work with space; we had up to 5 people residing there throughout our stay, without any problems. It is convieniently located being a very quick walk to the beach, the small commercial district of Gearhart, and any events at McMenamins' Gearhart Hotel. I would definitely recommend this house."
