  • Perfect location, house was wonderful

"Spent Father's Day weekend here and it was the best weekend I've had in awhile. House is lovely, very clean and spacious enough for two families with small children. It is within walking distance to the beach and the town, so location could not have been better. It is on higher ground that offers stunning sunset views from the living room. Little neighborhood was very charming and we went on a walk both nights. Great CD collection and we enjoyed playing the Mexican Train Dominoes game one evening. Highly recommend this property. I want to go back!"

  • Wonderful multi-generational family retreat!

"This is a lovely, well maintained property that has everything one might need and more! For us, the best part was parking our car and not driving it once in the entire week of our stay! The location was perfect. Easy access to the beach and the sand just off the deck provided plenty of play area for the youngest members of our group. The kitchen was well appointed and plenty of room for 2 and 3 chefs working together! The walk to downtown was easy and several days we walked down early for groceries and again later for treats!"

  • Spyglass Sensational...

"If you're looking for that perfect beach house in Manzanita, look no further. The Spyglass is well appointed with a workable floor plan from an upstairs reading loft to the downstairs game room. Enough bathrooms for all? No worries! One on each floor of this spacious house made it comfortable for nine adults. Compact sound system was just right & wi-fi to boot! Nice decking above & below with bbq we didn't use, but could've. Private access to the surf is rare these days & was much appreciated! Loved the kitchen, but could stand to add some larger pieces of cookware (we make home-made clam chowder) to feed an army of seafood lovers!! Just bring your own hardware for stuff like that, I suppose. Rooms are cleverly chopped up to drown out those screaming sports fans while others care to chill around the coffee table. That's really nice! Price is right & close to town makes this one a real winner. You'll like the owners too. We'd book another stay for sure. Many thanks for letting us enjoy your Manzanita getaway! Oh, and you probably hear this a lot but that dart board was more fun than anything!"

  • Heavenly weekend!

"We just returned from a long weekend at Lago 2 and loved every minute! Carmen's service as a concierge was a highlight-- she was so welcoming and available to us over the weekend when we had questions or needed anything we couldn't find. The house was comfortable, and had a much nicer and well-stocked kitchen than most rentals do. As cooks who ate in all weekend, we appreciated that! We were traveling with another couple and liked the separate detached space (the media room with a bed and bathroom) for the privacy it offered. One suggestion-- put an electric kettle in the bar space there for early morning tea drinkers! If you haven't been to Manzanita before, go-- one of the most beautiful beaches on the Oregon coast and this property has a prime location for enjoying it. Thanks Carmen, we will return!"
