  • Eight mature sorority sisters (class of '72) love their retreat!

"How lovely it all felt: a house geared to adults, but accommodating to children. Such an interesting layout, while hard to figure out when assigning sleeping quarters early on, made perfect sense after we'd lived in the space. Easy dining for ten in the dining area, yet many lovely quiet spaces for reading, talking or fixing meals. Very livable for visitors used to their own space, yet ready to accommodate each other. The deck is sublime once the direct sun abates. The Bella Vista notebook feels much friendlier than the rental company's which is scary. A few issues with minor cleaning details like cobwebs or dishwasher dried on food, but really, no big deal to most of us. We loved the instruction to keep on looking for anything kitcheny you can't find, as all of us guests move stuff all over the place. We never went out to eat, walked a couple times a day, and watched the Olympics with hardly any techno-phobic moments!"

  • Great location and property

"We stayed here with 2 families and 3 small children (all under 5). The location was great - less than 5 minutes to the beach, 5 minutes to the golf course, and 15 minutes into center of Manzanita. The unit was very clean with good amenities. No issues for us with anything in the unit. We had a chance to meet Nancy, as she was staying upstairs, and she is a great owner/manager. Thanks Nancy!"

  • Beautiful house in a nice location

"We really enjoyed our stay in this very clean, very well decorated house. The vaulted ceilings and huge deck made it seem much bigger than it was. The reason I took off one star (really half a star, but there is no option for this) was that the rules were very exacting to the point of losing some relaxation and enjoyment of the amenities. The precision of the several pages of instructions for the wood stove, for example, made us very worried about using it. I understand that the owner wants to maintain the house well (and does so), but I was afraid that if I folded laundry instead of leaving it in the dryer, there might be a problem. In any case, the place was really lovely, walking distance to shops and the beach, and in a quiet neighborhood."

  • Cute, comfy home

"Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, very close to the beach. There really is no "beach view" a small sliver of water is all you see. I liked the kids bedroom a lot, cozy and with a nice TV. The "loft bedroom" is really just an open space with a bed in it. It is adjacent to the hall bath and right up about 6 stairs from the kitchen. The bed is very hard, used pillows to make it a little softer. No complaints with the other 2 bedrooms upstairs. The bathrooms are beautiful and updated, beautiful high wood ceilings and kitchen is great! Also loved the flatscreen TV in the living room and the fireplace. Very nice and comfy living area. Hot tub was great. The worst part of the experience was the rental company-- they were rude and unprofessional when I asked for a hot tub check and possible servicing. I will never rent from them again because of the way I was treated. All in all, the house is sweet and comfortable, especially if you don't have to use the loft bedroom."
