  • What a great setup for two families

"We stayed with our sister-in-law and her family, so our 4 children and their two and two couples. Was a perfect setup for that, with the separate bunk house for the 6 children. The bunk house was very solid and the bunk beds were safe with built in ladders and railing. Plenty of towels and linens provided, functional kitchen with adequate cook-ware. Everything was clean and well maintained. The location is really nice. We stayed on this street before and like the vibe of the neighborhood and the proximity to the businesses and beach. Everything is very walk-able. I recommend donuts and coffee at Manzanita Coffee Co., hot dogs at Mudd Dogs and pizza at Marzano's Pizza Pie."

  • Manzanita Beach house

"This house is AMAZING. The views from the living room and Bedrooms are breath taking. We did not want to leave after a week there. My in laws loved that they could walk right onto the beach from the deck. My husband and I loved the hot tub, ot was great to sit and relax while looking at all the stars. The kids loved the xbox, pool table, and all the sand dollars they found on the beach. The sound system throughout the house was great. My husband actually danced with me on new years while looking out at the water. We will definitely be staying here during the summer. Kitchen has everything you need. Best of all is Carmen, she was there to show us the house and then made sure everything was going well. She gave us great restaurants recommendations. Everyone has to go to the Bistro, amazing clam chowder and mac and cheese. Best beach house we have rented."

  • Beautiful house in a nice location

"We really enjoyed our stay in this very clean, very well decorated house. The vaulted ceilings and huge deck made it seem much bigger than it was. The reason I took off one star (really half a star, but there is no option for this) was that the rules were very exacting to the point of losing some relaxation and enjoyment of the amenities. The precision of the several pages of instructions for the wood stove, for example, made us very worried about using it. I understand that the owner wants to maintain the house well (and does so), but I was afraid that if I folded laundry instead of leaving it in the dryer, there might be a problem. In any case, the place was really lovely, walking distance to shops and the beach, and in a quiet neighborhood."

  • a full heart

"This was our yearly family vacation on the Oregon Coast and it couldn't have been more perfect at Camp Manzanita! It is an understatement to say that the home is gorgeous and has absolutely everything you need, and things you never thought you needed: fully stocked kitchen, great creature comforts, plenty of beds and extra bedding and pillows, stereo system, TV with cable, games, outdoor toys, giant woodpile for fires, awesome outdoor shower, huge wrap around deck, and on and on. We've found most Oregon Coast rentals to be 'bare bones' and definitely over-packed this time around. Every time one of us asked 'I wonder if there is a _______?' the answer was yep! Aside from the ample creature comforts and attention to details of the home and bunkhouse, the slightly hidden 'public access' trail right up the street that leads directly to the downtown was a happy find .. 5 minute walk at best! And then just steps down the road the beach awaits -- great walks with our pups, fishing, nightly campfires, someone running up the road to the house for something we may have wanted or forgotten was a snap, early morning sea dollar hunts, and kites. If there is a definition of a perfect vacation, this was it for us. As the Mom of the bunch, I had a heavy heart saying good-bye. The owners were also very responsive to one minor issue and that attention was greatly appreciated! Thank you so much for sharing this home and experience! I think we found our new favorite place. TJJjFamily ~ Washington State P.S. We left a big bag of marshmellows in the pantry and a large back of freshly picked frozen blueberries in the freezer. Hope the next family enjoyed the 'finds'!"
