  • Eight mature sorority sisters (class of '72) love their retreat!

"How lovely it all felt: a house geared to adults, but accommodating to children. Such an interesting layout, while hard to figure out when assigning sleeping quarters early on, made perfect sense after we'd lived in the space. Easy dining for ten in the dining area, yet many lovely quiet spaces for reading, talking or fixing meals. Very livable for visitors used to their own space, yet ready to accommodate each other. The deck is sublime once the direct sun abates. The Bella Vista notebook feels much friendlier than the rental company's which is scary. A few issues with minor cleaning details like cobwebs or dishwasher dried on food, but really, no big deal to most of us. We loved the instruction to keep on looking for anything kitcheny you can't find, as all of us guests move stuff all over the place. We never went out to eat, walked a couple times a day, and watched the Olympics with hardly any techno-phobic moments!"

  • Truly steps to town and beach

"We really enjoyed this house and being in walking distance to the town and beach! There is a terrific grocery store around the corner and a few restaurants in town. The rental went very smoothly with clear instructions and no surprises. We did not have any problems with noise or internet access. The living space is comfortable with one full bath. This house is perfect for a family or familiar group since you need to go through the master bedroom to get to the shower/tub. We had 2 adults and 2 kids upstairs with enough space (the kids liked the angled ceilings), and the grandparents downstairs (the stairs would be too steep for them). Note that if you are extremely sensitive to pet smells you might notice that it's a dog-friendly cottage."

"Property just as described. Awesome living room area and fireplace. Big deck that gets a lot of sun. Easy walk to everything (town and beach). Management team is very responsive. I definitely recommend!"

  • Great Getaway Coastal Cabin

"The house was very nicely equipped, especially in the kitchen. It looks like they put some thought into providing for visitors and it weas very clean. The hot tub was nice albeit a little small. Having the 3 bedrooms on separate floors was a plus! The views from the 2 front decks were awesome, but wish the clouds stayed away at sunset. Oh well, can't control coastal weather! The location was very nice as we were able to walk to both the beach and downtown, so the location was nice, quiet and secluded feeling despite the houses nearby. It was also fun to bicycle in the area, especially along the ocean and inside Nehalem Bay State Park. All correspondence with owner was handled quickly and with satisifaction. Yes, we would stay here again!"
