  • Comfortable Manzanita retreat

"My family recently spent a week at this home in Manzanita. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house has good space for gathering and a nice kitchen that is well stocked. It is an ideal house for kids, with a kids' room, a play set in the backyard, and an easy walk to the beach. Unlike other homes in the area, it is bright and airy, with high ceilings and a loft. It also has a great front deck, which is perfect for grilling and enjoying a glass of wine. Be sure to bring bug spray! The mosquitos were a bit pesky."

  • Lovely home that is nicely appointed.

"Easy walk to the beach. Quiet neighborhood. As one of our party has mobility limitations, it was great to have a ground floor unit with no stairs. Five beds made it ideal for a group of friends. Very nice and comfortable. Several outdoor spaces provided a nice variety of options. We loved it!"

  • Wonderful multi-generational family retreat!

"This is a lovely, well maintained property that has everything one might need and more! For us, the best part was parking our car and not driving it once in the entire week of our stay! The location was perfect. Easy access to the beach and the sand just off the deck provided plenty of play area for the youngest members of our group. The kitchen was well appointed and plenty of room for 2 and 3 chefs working together! The walk to downtown was easy and several days we walked down early for groceries and again later for treats!"

  • Everything you could ask for!

"We loved our stay at Whitecaps! The apartment is very clean and updated. Manzanita Beach is a quaint, quiet town with cute stores and nice restaurants. We enjoyed going through the shops and loved watching the kites on the beach. The bakery has delicious cinnamon rolls and serves breakfast and lunch. We loved the San Dunes pub, too. I will warn you , though, the Mexican food wasn't so good. But we're from California so are used to a different kind of regional cooking. It doesn't mean, though, that those who run the restaurant aren't welcoming, they are, also they serve a good margarita! We bought a delicious pie at the place across from the grocery store. The beds are very comfortable. There is a nice deck where you can sit at the table, listen to bird song and watch the sun go down. The kitchen is a gem. It is well stocked with sweet touches of lovely pottery. The washing machine and dryer come in very handy. There are beach chairs and bikes in the garage. All we brought were our clothes and we didn't need to buy anything but the food we ate during our stay. If you want to cook, the cupboards have spices and other condiments so you don't have to go out and buy them. We would recommend this cute and restful place to anyone who can climb a flight of steps to a sweet getaway!"
