  • Must See Oregon Coast Family Vacation Destinatuon.

"We recently took our family to stay at this wonderful, get away, luxury home. The home was everything we imagined and more. It is very well equipped with everything you could need or want. The kitchen has every appliance including an outside gas, Reber stainless state, of the art grill. The home is located within walking distance of the beach and grocery store. A private parking lane, off the street, accommodated our four vehicles with ease. Outdoor equipment including horse shoes, tennis, croquet, ping pong, frisbee, a fire pit, (with chopped firewood) bicycles, beach toys, clam guns, and more, made for the family vacation of a life time! The home is located near a hidden jewel golf course (Gearhart Links.). We saw elk on the beach (every day). We saw eagles and osprey, dug clams, went crabbing, caught our limits of salmon (with Coho Charters) saw seals and whales, hiked to Disappointment Cove, visited Haystack Rock and went to Cannon Beach for wonderful shopping and fine food. We even went to the Seaside Acquainium and fed fhe seals and the kids got to handle sea life (even though it must have been built in 1920). What more could you ask for? This place is nothing short of amazing and I wish I was there now. You can lay by one of two fireplaces or cuddle up with a book. You can sit on the outside deck, under the pines and hear the ocean at night. This place is private, secluded and and secure. We felt safe. We also enjoyed working with the homeowner who has generously shared all of this with us. Thank you Kathy! I rate this secret, secluded, sanctuary with 5 stars and can't wait to return."

  • Fun Family Thanksgiving Reunion

"We had a great family Thanksgiving with our 3 adult children, spouses and 2 grandkids. We loved the location and the pleasant stroll into town or a quick stroll to the beach. The house was nice and we were all comfortable and had enough space for the 9 of us and our dogs! The minor downfalls that would be very easily correctable are as follows: the kitchen is dark.......the overhead lite only had one bulb and one burned out and the over the stove light didn't work......hard to cook. The stove had a burner that didnt work and the other 3 were slanted which made cooking evenly difficult for things like pancakes! The microwave died halfway into our trip......YIKES! The "gameroom" garage was interesting......the electronic basketball hoop was broken off and the airhockey no longer has "air" coming out of the mini holes. The Foosball still worked! The hot tub started out great but by the third day it really stunk. We noticed the floating chemical container was empty. 2 in our party came home full of a rash. We loved the fireplace and appreciated the logs in the garage. The TV was also very nice. The house had nice bedrooms but only 1 tub/shower which got very challenging with 9 people! Hopefully the owners will attend to the minor issues because this really is a great place and a great price and a place we would like to return too in the future."

  • Beautiful view, relaxing

"The view was beautiful, and even better from the hot tub and while enjoying the provided s'mores around a fire. The house was clean and comfortable. The area was quiet. It was tricky to get to the beach, but manageable, and I think public access was an small walk away (we never went that way). We walked down the beach to a hidden little trail, which ended up being a moderately difficult, beautiful hike to the lighthouse. Overall it was great!"

  • Wonderful multi-generational family retreat!

"This is a lovely, well maintained property that has everything one might need and more! For us, the best part was parking our car and not driving it once in the entire week of our stay! The location was perfect. Easy access to the beach and the sand just off the deck provided plenty of play area for the youngest members of our group. The kitchen was well appointed and plenty of room for 2 and 3 chefs working together! The walk to downtown was easy and several days we walked down early for groceries and again later for treats!"
