"The home was lovely, the area was lovely, the check in and out were very easy. It was very clean, very comfortable, even the pull out bed. I would have liked more blankets as it was pretty cold, but it really was nice and beautiful!"

  • Very nice townhouse close to the beach

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed our stay at Pelican Perch. It's very nice and quiet with high end finishes throughout. The location is ideal, just half a block from the beach. There's only a slight view of the ocean because of trees, but the trees make a great view. The master bedroom and bath is quite spacious and well equipped. Also, the second and third bedrooms are nice. A couple of things that were slight issues: 1)There were dirty dishes and silverware in the drawer/cupboard - I know it's hard to spot when a guest puts away a dish with food crusted on it, but it should be checked. I did a load of dishes when we arrived. 2)the dishwasher is really hard to close, it took awhile to figure out, you have to slam the door closed to get it to work, no idea why. 3) the washer dryer set is quite small and I had to read the instructions to figure out how to use them, it shouldn't be that complicated. Luckily the instructions were included in the manual provided by the rental company. 4) the furniture in the living room isn't all that comfortable. There were four of us, we all thought there should be two love seats and a chair instead of the large sofa and two chairs. Another suggestion is a rug for the tile floor - not ideal with sand from the beach, but it would make it more comfortable to sit on the floor to play games, etc. Also, the dining table and chairs wasn't that comfortable to sit playing games. 5) the pots and pans are cheap and banged up, I didn't feel comfortable using them with the teflon scratched. I know this is sort of nit picky, but it's feedback we had as a group. Overall, I would rent this townhouse again."

  • A Wonderful Relaxing Stay

"My husband and I really appreciated the view from the large master bedroom. The table and chairs in the bedroom enabled us to enjoy our breakfasts while bird watching. We saw a Stellar's Jay busily working on building a nest and also a beautiful orange hummingbird. The walk to the beach is short and the bonus is all of the bunnies in the yards. Some are so friendly they will come right up to you so we started bringing carrot sticks and lettuce with us on the way to the beach. Pacific City is a short drive south for supplies and places to eat. Another bonus, the beach is really private. We only saw a few other people on the beach during our stay. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay at the coast!"

  • Quiet and cozy!

"Quiet, private, and clean! It was wonderful to stroll down to the beach via the private beach access trail just past the sand dunes. Our dog loved the large yard, and we loved the hot tub and cozy feel of the house. The house next door was unoccupied which was an added bonus! I recommend this place to anyone looking to get away from the crowds and enjoy a peaceful beach getaway!"
