  • Quiet Place to Settle on a Monday and Tuesday

"I stayed from Sunday to Wednesday and I think that is key -- the restaurant is quiet on Sunday evening and was closed Monday and Tuesday, so I had the place to myself. If it had been Friday or Saturday I don't think I would have liked it -- you really are right on the patio of the restaurant. It is a nice little cottage -- my brother (who wasn't staying there) and I treated it as a home away from home as the kitchen and living area gave us everything we needed to cook some meals and hang out. It is best for one person or two people who don't need privacy from one another. There are no internal doors, and it is an open plan. As one person, I loved it. One thing -- the address on the gate is very hard to see and the back path is dark. Get your phone flashlight out!"

  • Great SE location

"We were able to walk anywhere we wanted to be from this rental. Air conditioning was a plus, since it was unusually hot while we visited. Older travelers, or anyone with a disability may not enjoy the stairs to the bathroom in the middle of the night, but the apt. is comfortable, with a good shower. Tiny kitchen with a little stone table in the middle does not lend itself to ease of meal preparation, if you plan to cook in."

  • Lovely apartment. Great location for 2-months!

"If you are looking for a fun location, look no further. Whilst planning at home in Berlin, we read about this happening area in a travel guide book. Mississippi District is it and this lovely basement apartment is THE perfect location! When you enter, you know this is your private domain! It's less than a block from cool restaurants, bars and shops and in a nice residential neighborhood. Street parking only, which got pretty crowded on the weekends, although we quickly could find a spot and just walked everywhere. Anjali has provided all the amenities - fully stocked kitchen, coffee maker, toaster. towels. Kitchen was easy to cook in, nice layout. We made a lot of nice meals here, very comfy cozy. In addition to central heating, the space heaters worked great to make it toasty warm. This is a duplex with another unit upstairs which, depending on the current tenant, you can hear walking around if wearing boots. We were woken up by the people quarreling. We asked Anjali to speak with them and she took care of it immediately. Anjali is an attentive and very interactive host. She responded and resolved any issues that we had right away. Anjali is a great resource for what's happening!"

  • The Perfect home for our Portland Stay

"My husband and our two young children, ages 4 and 2, stayed in this rental for 6 weeks this summer. Wendy was superb with communication both before our stay and during. The home was clean, charming and outfitted with everything we needed from laundry soap to a coffee bean grinder to a stroller for our little one. There was a wide array of toys, books and puzzles for our kids to enjoy, and we had tons of fun grilling, laying on the hammock and picking blueberries in the backyard. This rental is walkable to a great park, a library (you can take your little ones to story time even if you don't have a library card), an ice cream shop, coffee shop and a few nice grocery stores and restaurants. It is a short drive from tons of things to keep you occupied during your stay from trails to hike, waterfalls to visit and lovely indoor museums. Portland is a foodie's dream location, a coffee lovers haven and a beer brewers paradise. During a hot spell the air conditioner stopped working and Sue had someone to the house to fix it within an hour! Both Wendy and Sue have done a great job setting up this place and making sure tenants are comfortable. I would highly recommend this home to anyone wishing to stay in Portland for a spell. You will not be disappointed! My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. If we go back to Portland, we will definitely plan to stay here again!"
