  • Peace on Earth

"My husband and I rented this home for two weeks. We invited our teenage children, as well as my mother. Words cannot express how wonderful this home is, or how attentive Jim, the owner, is to his tenants. We had few issues, but Jim responded immediately to my texts. Jim even came and washed the Windows midway through our vacation, as the seagulls were busy. The home and its contents are well-thought out. Jim had fresh bread baking when we arrived. The kitchen is top of the line, Viking, and since I am too busy to cook in my everyday life, I thoroughly enjoyed pampering my family in this upscale kitchen! The beds are great and the sheets are luscious. Even the toilet paper is high end and very soft. Jim has thought of everything. The home has beach towels, suntan lotion and block, beach toys, crabbing equipment ... You will find everything you need in this house. My teens loved the ping pong table in the garage. My mother LOVED the juicy LazyBoys near the back windows of the house. Three tv's allow many persons to watch whatever they want and the wi-fi was always working at full speed (important as my husband is a streamer). I would not change one thing about this home. I have stayed in many VRBO rentals, but this is absolutely the best! If I needed something, it was there. Not many landlords are this thoughtful. I would recommend that you jump on this house if you are lucky enough to rent it. It is heaven on earth."

  • Family Vacation

"From the moment we arrived at Bandon House, Brett Johnson welcomed us like family. After being given the grand tour and pertinent information on the usage of his spacious home we settled in for a relaxing family time together. We ranged in age from 4 months to 61 years old. Each family unit had their own bedroom and the house is so well built that babies could sleep undisturbed while we were enjoying other areas of the home. We realized we could have left a lot of our own supplies at home as Brett has supplied high quality products for his guests everyday usage. His presence each day to service the hot tub and remove garbage was very unobtrusive and we all agreed that he has a heart to serve each guest as his personal friend. We will recommend Bandon House to anyone who wishes to spend time in Bandon and dream of being able to come back again ourselves. We have not exhausted the sights and activities that Bandon offers although we did squeeze in beach time, a gorgeous sunset, Rogue River Jet boat ride, tour of Coquille Lighthouse, ATV ride on the dunes, golfing, shopping in Old Town Bandon, and the Wildlife Safari petting zoo. We recommend them all! We thank God for giving us the privilege to be together as a family and ask His Blessing on Brett, for sharing his home for our comfort and enjoyment. Thank you!"

  • Comfortable and Dog-Friendly

"The Wild Rose Cottage was a great home base for us and our furry kids. The house was a bit dated but very clean and great for the dogs. The huge yard was securely fenced. The location was great. It was an easy walk to Lord Bennett's, a nice restaurant, and to the beach. The house had everything we needed. Katie was great to deal with and the rental process was seamless."

  • Lovely home, great location, wonderful vacation!

"We had six people -- two couples and the two adult children of one of the couples. There was plenty of room for everyone. With the layout of the house, we were able to gather on the main central floor to cook, eat, socialize, and enjoy one another's company. But we could also depart to our own private spaces or off to the beach whenever we wanted to and still feel like we had plenty of space to ourselves. Two of the bedrooms are downstairs on the first floor, and one of those has a door that opens to a fully-fenced large backyard. That was good for the couple who brought a dog. Both of those bedrooms had they own private bath as well, which was really nice. The two adult kids (in their 30's!) shared the third floor, which is actually the master suite and has the bathroom with the jacuzzi tub. However, because of the open floor plan, that third floor bedroom is really a loft and has no real privacy. But that was just fine for the two 30-year-old's who were up there playing video games and watching TV and just hanging out together. One took the bed, the other took the large comfortable couch. They were just fine. The primary shared space is the second floor with the kitchen, dining room, and living room. There are also small decks on the 2nd and 3rd floors with ocean views where 2-4 people can hang out and enjoy the ambience. All of this worked out just fine for our group. The beach is long and has many interesting rock structures in both directions. It's just a 5-minute walk from the house with easy access. And downtown Bandon is about a 7-minute drive away. So all-in-all, this was a perfect house for us for this vacation. We would definitely stay here again!"
