  • Wonderful, comfortable historic house

"Our family group of 6 adults of all ages (aged 35 to75) stayed at the River House for a week in January 2017. The downstairs 2 bedroom with shared bath suite worked well for one family member who could not manage stairs. There were plenty of bedrooms for us all and large common areas. The house is historic with tall ceilings and centrally located on the Coquille River in Old Town Bandon so we could walk to restaurants and shops and enjoy the view of the river and light house. It offered a well-equipped kitchen and all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. We mainly used the kitchen for breakfast and ate other meals out at nearby restaurants. We loved walking the beautiful beaches in Bandon."

  • Great for large family/group

"There was 6 of us that stayed here as well as our extended Coos Bay family who came to visit/have dinner with us- there was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen/living area downstairs was large as well as the upstairs living area- all of us were very comfortable; it did not feel crowded. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking meals- pots, pans, dishes and whatnot. You'll need to bring your own oil/spices though (not provided). The beds were very comfortable. Very cozy house with interesting architecture and skylights. Easy walk to the beach. We were happy we were able to bring our family dog along. Rick- the owner- was quick to reply (phone call) after we inquired about renting and to all of our questions. We would stay here again."

  • Ocean view outside the tsunami zone.

"Gorgeous view and easy beach access. Comfortable accommodations. When I stay on the coast, I make certain we're outside the tsunami zone, and this place rests on a bluff above Coquille Point. Close access to stairs that lead down to the beach. Being able to see the water from the living room really enhanced our trip. The beaches are stunning."

  • Excellent last minute find!

"This place is an amazing property! Very private and comfortable. The beach access is literally steps out the back door. The beach was perfect for walking and exploring. There are caves and nooks and lots of sandy areas for playing catch or volley ball. Our family had one of the best times enjoying the beautiful surroundings at this coastal beauty. The safari is a short drive, there are stores nearby, and a few golf choices too."
