  • Dad's 80th Birthday

"We rented Bandon House so several of us could celebrate dad's birthday with a surprise party. The location and amenities described in the listing sounded like everything we needed and needless to say, it lived up to our expectations. Dad's favorite part of the house was the theater room; he used it quite a bit. Another highlight of the house is that we could bring our dogs. I have to add there were no disappointments with this home. All who attended were very impressed with everything the house provided. It rained during most of our stay but the trees sheltered the hot tub from most of the wind and rain so we took advantage it a couple of the evenings. Also, Brett is an excellent host and is sincere in wanting to insure all guests have a good time. Thank you."

  • Incredibly Satisfied!

"In early September, 2016 my family and I (5 adults, 1 3 yr old) had the opportunity to stay at this property. I tell you, the pictures do NOT do this place justice! The outside at first resembles most normal houses. Nice, neat, clean, sweet and quaint looking. THAN.... you walk inside and are immediately "awww" struck! The house inside is gorgeous! The view is out of this world... Plenty of room for my large family and the house had everything you needed. Loved sitting at the table every moring (or on the large deck outside) sipping coffee and looking at the gorgeousness of the Pacific. The ONLY downside was they are not able to have a gas/charcoal grill due to still being in city limits. However they do have an electric stand up George Forman grill to use outside. Does the job in a pinch! There is not however a direct path to the beach from this property. You REALLY want for there to be, but there isn't one made yet. If you walk a few short blocks, you will find another private access to Harris Beach. It's a steep hill, with a handful of stairs and rocks to walk thru to get to the beach, but is very, very much worth it. It is a gorgeous beach. Beautiful rock formations, tide pools, and tons of beach combing to be had. My toddler was in heaven! (As was her momma). Brookings is the perfect little sea side town that isn't full of tourists. It has a Fred Meyers which houses every sort of thing you may need. A Dutch Bro coffee shop just a few miles from the house. Excellent coffee! Also a cute little florist shop not far from the Fred Meyers that has cute little trinkets and fun gifts to buy and take back home. Less than an hour away is the National Redwood Forest just across the CA boarder. Hwy 101.... can't describe it! If you get a chance to stay here, you will NOT be disappointed... Hoping we get to come back again someday... ~From land locked South Dakota... :)"
