"Very comfortable cottage in nice, quiet neighborhood. Close to all of the tourist attractions. Fenced back yard was nice for our small dog. We will certainly plan to return to this fine cottage in the future."

  • Beautiful property, great location, wonderful owner

"The cabin was beautiful inside and out! Cozy and comfortable after a long day of skiing. We had a few mishaps when we first arrived, the code for the key lock we were given was incorrect, along with the hot tub lock, but Chris was incredibly helpful and quick to respond when I called/emailed for assistance. We came with a small group of 4, but the cabin was large enough to sleep twice that comfortably. Would definitely come back for another stay, interested to see the property in the warmer months, as it looks like it has even more to offer when the snow is gone. Thanks Chris!"

  • Can't beat it at this price!

"Very comfortable and affordable house. In a nice and fun district not far from downtown. Cute little shops and food carts in walking distance. Spent Christmas here with my family and the house fit just about our every need. Kitchen had just about everything I needed to cook a traditional Christmas dinner. Beds were clean and comfortable and bathroom linen was fresh. Parking on the street was never an issue for all 3 cars. The owner even granted us an extra night stay at the last minute because we weren't ready to leave Portland. It could use a little upgrade with the living room decor; couch, throw pillows and rugs had staines. There's also not a lot of comfy places for a family to relax in living room together, there was only one couch and a few plastic chairs. There was no internet either which was really inconvenient ( especially for the teens, it almost crippled them 😉򒐩 However, we just walked to a cute little coffee house around the corner called Tiny's and used theirs as we drank the most amazing coffee ever. We would definitely rent this house again!"

  • Happy Anniversary Indeed

"We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary here this past April and couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. The deck is incredible - it's as though you're sitting right on the beach but with all the comforts of home a few feet away. We spent a great deal of time outside relaxing while enjoying the panoramic view of the Pacific. Sea Grass is well stocked. The kitchen is the best stocked one of all the places we've stayed before (there was even a salad dressing cruet!). There are puzzles; games; and even a pair of binoculars. We slept in the bedroom closest to the deck and were able to leave the door open enough to let in the sea breeze. My husband usually never sleeps in but even he did while we were there. Comfy bed & plenty of bedding (extra in the chest in the room). There's fun vintage dressers in the bedrooms, and the other bedroom includes a charming painted "By the Sea..." saying on the floor in red. The TV is new with a built-in DVD player (we brought our own DVDs - I can't remember if there were any there), and there's also a gas fireplace in the living room. The cottage is at the end of a lane, and it was nice and quiet during our time there. Beach access is very close - just out the front door, right for a few yards and left then down to the beach. The access itself is rocky, so we went down slowly (old legs amongst all three of us, including our dog) but it was do-able even for us. Sea Grass is well located - about two miles from Yachats. We enjoyed the Drift Inn and the crashing waves at Smelt Sands); Cape Perpetua and Hecata Head Lighthouse just a bit further south; and the Aquarium at Newport about 30 minutes north. There is a small grocery and post office in Yachats, but get before you get to Yachats. Overall, it was just a great stay in a wonderful cottage with a stupendous view and all three of us felt very comfortable and at home here (and there was even an anniversary card & plant there for us when we arrived!). We would not hesitate to stay here again should we ever find ourselves headed that way and look forward to the opportunity. Thanks! Kim, Gregory & Dickens"
