  • Quiet, Pretty, Clean, Comfortable, Friendly, Nicely Equipped

"My husband and I spent four nights here while attending Oregon Shakespeare Festival plays. Karin respected our privacy but was also an exceedingly welcoming and helpful hostess, even offering via text message to deliver cushions & blankets to us at the Green Show for use in the outdoor theater that evening. (Far beyond the call of duty!) The various kitchen appliances she supplies completely compensate for the lack of a stove or oven, and the spacious, well-tended back yard makes up (in good weather) for a fairly small indoor footprint. The bed is supremely comfortable; the whole place is attractive, thoughtfully and generously put together. And it's in a lovely residential neighborhood, a pleasant walk to theaters, parks and restaurants past lots of pretty houses, trees and gardens."

  • Serene Retreat From Downtown Drama --Mark T

"My daughter and I love the world class theater in Ashland, and we were so pleased to have found this tranquil cottage on the edge of town. The beautiful, bucolic setting lets you completely unwind from watching the plays. The cottage is filled with natural light and surrounded by colorful, textural landscaping and the glorious natural beauty of Southern Oregon. The trip to town is quick and easy, providing many excellent restaurant options. But this home is perfectly equipped for private dining and enjoying Oregon wine on the back patio. The cottage is clean, comfortable, and relaxing. And the hosts are gracious and available. We highly recommend the Ashland Shakespeare Festival and the Aspen Cottage."

  • Gorgeous & comfortable Arty Cottage

"This cottage in the hills above Ashland is very unique. Every piece of furniture is original, as Tom and Margaret are furniture makers. I enjoyed admiring all the furniture, bookshelves, etc. There are gorgeous quilts and blankets throughout (I assume Margaret's talent)! The cottage is well equipped with everything you will need for a pleasant stay. It is very relaxing to sit on the back deck in the trees. It was my favorite activity until the knats ate me up. (It IS in the woods!). The upstairs bed (Loft) was incredibly comfortable. And the downstairs bunk bed is a nice little reading nook with good lighting and tons of pillows. There was a surprising amount of road noise for being out in the country, including some trucks. But it typically gets quiet at night, which is what I was looking for. All in all , it is a very pleasant stay in a really unique cottage outside Ashland. Karen Brooks"

  • Wonderful location, well done restoration, and super responsive host

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Teresa was always available with information when we needed it and kindly accommodated our odd arrival and departure times. Comfy beds! Very clean. AC most welcone in 90• days! Small but serviceable kitchen for meals made with groceries from the outstanding Ashland Food Co-op a mere block away. Dining room as well as nice covered front porch with cafe table. Back garden is shared and very peaceful with a shared grill. The house is divided into several separate units. we hardly knew anyone else was there. Would happily come back."
