  • CLEAN! COMFORTABLE! Perfect LOCATION!

"We stayed for 5 nights August 12 to 18th, my husband, and my two boys, 19 and 17. We loved the house, large kitchen and the three bedrooms. Everything was perfectly clean. Joanna left a basket with goodies for us and the kitchen is fully stocked (dishes, pots, pans, etc.) and had spices and condiments for our use which was very convenient. We washed clothes every day in the comfortable laundry room, allowing us to not have wet/dirty clothes in our luggage. We had several meals out on the huge deck, looking at and hearing the river down below, a great experience. The location of the property is also perfect, close to the bridge and then the Bullock Road drive to Elkton is just magnificent, like a fairytale. We booked a fishing charter with TheOregonAngler.com and caught over 300 fish, small mouth bass. Amazing experience just down Bullock Road about 5 miles. Also, we paid a land use fee to the Big K Ranch down the road before Elkton and fished off shore also caught at least 80 fish. If you like fishing, this is the place. My boys got two inner tubes and boarded them at the river in the house back-yard, and rode the river, while fishing, for 3 miles down to the recreation area down the road as well. My husband were waiting for them at the recreation site. That was a lot of fun for our boys, like an amusement park ride. They also caught fish along the way. Elkton has a great restaurant, promoted on TripAdvisor, Tomaselli's Pastry Mill & Cafe. We had breakfast there twice, and their cinnamon rolls fresh from the oven are unbelievable. For larger supplies we drove to Sutherlin, which is about equal distance South. Very convenient location for the house, which was an added benefit. Overall, I recommend this property. It could have held many more people, with the great deck and pristinely manicured lawn and land. A great fishing get-away for our family. Thank you!"

  • Perfect

"Great place to get away and relax, got a lot of paperwork done (working vacation). Has wifi but no cell signal so use "settings" for your cell to work off wifi or the owner has a phone system you can use also. Stayed for 2 weeks but wish I could stay longer! Nice place!"

  • Peaceful River Lodge

"Great place for group of friends to spread out crafts, play games, have fun playing ping pong, and just gather to hang out. Lots of floor space. Owner is friendly and available."

  • Great Time!!

"A great little cabin for my adult son and I to spend some quality time together. Since my son likes to cook we were able to catch a good mess of bass the first night and had a great meal. The kitchen is very well stocked with all the necessary cooking equipment that made our stay great. Since I like to cook the breakfast I found the waffle cooker and had waffles a couple of mornings. We usually go to Walport or Newport but decided to try a new place and enjoyed Reedsport, all the people were very friendly. We spent one day exploring the Smith River which was really worth the drive a very interesting place. Unfortunately the Salmon fishing was not very good so got skunked on that front but did get a few crab for dinner one afternoon out in the bay and got to watch the Coast Guard do their maneuvers. The cabin served as a great base for us as we pursued our outdoor activities, just wish the dock was still available to use on our stay but understand the owners concerns about high water. We will probably be back for another stay in the future, had never been on the Umpqua River before and really enjoyed it. The neighbor downstream is probably one of the nicest guys I have ever met, he owns Ace Hardware in town and can fix you up with your fishing and crab licenses, plus give you some good hints on where the fish hang out!"
