  • Lovely rustic home near the river

"We enjoyed our stay at Riverlodge. The accommodation is rustic, but spacious and well equipped. The kitchen features 4 sinks along with every other necessary appliance. Lots of chairs, cushions, etc. The river can be seen from the deck and is a short walk through a blackberry patch, but no beach. The great room is delightful, with an attractive stone fireplace and comfortable sofas. The piano is not badly out of tune. Neighbors are out of view. Drive to town (Merlin) is 5 minutes; another 10 minutes to Grants Pass, where you will want to shop for most supplies. Riverlodge is very well priced and centrally located for area activities (wine touring, jet boating, etc.)."

  • Zen River Retreat

"Wow. My husband and I and our two grown sons came for a vacation getaway. My sister and her beau were able to stop by for a night, down from B.C. Canada. We were all amazed at the variety of places to hang out on the property. There were so many and each had it's own personality. The studio was superb. the room on the first floor was it's own little hideaway. My sons loved having their own space. The river was grand. So many patios to choose from to just sit and watch the water go by which I loved to do in the mornings. We chose a very hot week, but kept inside and just chilled during the hottest part of the day. We used the hot tub in the middle of the night. There were fun and interesting collections of artifacts to see everywhere you turn from around the world. They have a large collection of music CD's to choose from. The kitchen cupboards were packed full of so many dishes and serving ware. We found plenty of towels, extra supplies if needed, such as paper towels or toilet paper and Kleenex. We didn't lack for anything. Judy met us and gave the tour. She was really sweet and concerned because of the heat wave. She wants to make sure you have a good time. We really got our monies worth and you can't say that very often these days. The river access was on the difficult side, some steep steps, but there are many nearby parks and access areas to the water. We definitely would recommend this place to anyone and we are thankful to have shared this fabulous retreat. Don't forget to go on the Rogue River jet boat rides, so much fun! Thank you Judy and Dennis."

  • Family get-together

"Our extended family was staying in three locations less than a mile apart. This house was a great place to gather for an evening meal or time in the evening to gather for recreational activities after a busy day hiking, sight-seeing, water activities, winery visits and more. We were three generations who could enjoy various activities together or apart with all the distinct areas in which to gather. Pool playing could be going on in the lower level, while wee ones were being read to in a quieter spot upstairs and others were working jigsaw puzzles, cooking in the well equipped kitchen, or enjoying quiet conversation. We did put some of the fragile art pieces away to protect from curious little hands. Have already recommended to others."
