  • Best location, best cabin, best price

"My wife and I rented the two bedroom one bath cabin for the week of 9/12/16 and can say that there is no way anyone would be disappointed in staying at the Red Blanket. We toured all around the Crater Lake area and found no better location. The drive to Crater Lake is nice and easy, 40 min. or so. We made three trips up there the week we stayed. Hike Mt. Scott in the morning for the best pictures of the lake. The inside of the place is something to see. We had fun just sitting and looking around wondering how they put it all together. The view from the bathroom window looks just like a painting The cabin has everything you need. Just bring groceries. When you figure in the price of eating out, having your laundry done, wifi, privacy, and the natural setting you can't beat the price. If you forget anything you can meet the locals and find most anything at the great little store south of the historic hotel. There are many great hikes right near the cabin which has more local maps and information than any ranger station. My only word of warning is to be careful not to get separated from your group at the Avenue of Boulders! No one can hear your call due to the crashing water. You can get wifi at the cabin, but don't expect cell phone reception anywhere in the Crater Lake area. Book well in advance to stay at the best VRBO cabin ever."

  • Mouna and the BnB were wonderful!

"First let's talk about what you NEED to know. 3 miles of steep switchback gravel road to get into the valley. But once you do, you are transported back in time. The barnhouse is a rural barn that was transformed into a 3 story house. Things are put together creatively, and the decor is eclectic. 7 people from 15-72 years old were comfortable the entire 5 nights. The kitchen was well stocked, and the entire house is impeccably clean. The area was so quiet and peaceful, with a family of deer gorging on the apples from the Apple tree. It takes about 36 mins. to get to the Ashland Shakespeare theaters, so if that's you're plan, plan accordingly. If you want a relaxed vacation this is the place!"

  • Comfortable, clean, wonderful garden area!

"We truly enjoyed our stay at Porscha's. We found the vacation home clean, nicely furnished and just as described. We arrived late and were immediately comfortable on our first night there. The beds are so comfy. We enjoyed the lovely patio and garden areas and spent a good bit of time just relaxing and eating there. We had a delicious grilled salmon dinner on the patio gas grill. Tomatoes and pears from the garden area were in abundance for our salads. We often walked the short distance to town for shopping and theater. Porscha was very nice, ....welcoming and helpful. I would highly recommend this VRBO for visiting Ashland."

  • Family get-together

"Our extended family was staying in three locations less than a mile apart. This house was a great place to gather for an evening meal or time in the evening to gather for recreational activities after a busy day hiking, sight-seeing, water activities, winery visits and more. We were three generations who could enjoy various activities together or apart with all the distinct areas in which to gather. Pool playing could be going on in the lower level, while wee ones were being read to in a quieter spot upstairs and others were working jigsaw puzzles, cooking in the well equipped kitchen, or enjoying quiet conversation. We did put some of the fragile art pieces away to protect from curious little hands. Have already recommended to others."
