Solitude and comfort at Point Comfort Lodge.
"Now that I'm retired we often travel in the fall, and our experience at the Point Comfort Lodge cabin reminds me why this is a good idea. We literally had the place to ourselves. The lodge was closed so we were able to explore the grounds without interrupting anyone's activities. The cabin has the essentials - comfortable beds, reasonably stocked kitchen, lots of literature to plan our Klamath Falls/Crater Lake adventure - but the setting is magnificent. We loved our time at the Point Comfort Cabin, and we strongly recommend to anyone looking for a fun place to stay while visiting South Central Oregon."

"Six of us spent Thanksgiving here. We cooked all of our Thanksgiving meal in the kitchen and had nice quality family time. Kim and Kathy are fantastic. I think this place would be really fun in the warmer months when you can spend more time outside on the river. Highly recommend!"

"The place looks great; it is well kept up and nicely furnished. The inside living area is comfortable for two or three, but I suspect it might be a little tight at four. There is a small kitchenette which is sufficient to store some cold beverages and reheat leftovers, though if you like ice you'll need to stop for a bag. Cooking a full meal for 4 might be a little tough, but everything you need to do it is there. There is, however, a great big grill and a much roomier table out on the deck which solves both of those problems, weather permitting. The garden is lovely!
I disagree with those who don't like the beds; I think they're the best thing about this joint. For one thing, it's nearly impossible to find a King bed in this town at all, much less a nice, soft one. If you are a die-hard hard-bed enthusiast this is probably not the rental for you.
Pro-tip: if you prefer a darker bedroom, pick the one with the brown shade; the black drapes look more substantial at first glance, but there are gaps on the sides such that you will get plenty of sun plenty early.
The location is about a 15-minute walk from the theaters for those in good walking shape and there is easy parking for those of us who are not. Checking in and out is a breeze and the hosts don't leave you a giant, laminated list of all the chores they expect you to do like so many other Ashland rentals seem to.
I will warn you that the wall between the little living area and the other rental is pretty thin. We've stayed there twice now and both times could hear people in the other unit speaking as what I assume was reasonable conversational volume. Sometimes I could even make out the actual words. Fortunately, the bedroom did not have a similar issue."

"The owner, Alla, was lovely and always easy to reach. The house was immaculate and very well-equipped. Though the front faces the college tennis courts, the back deck was a delight with a hammock and fire pit to roast 'smores. We did end up driving into town most of the time as the walk was a bit longer than expected, but visitors without small children to wrangle about might welcome a longer stroll. For those with kids, the ScienceWorks museum is only ½ mile away."
