  • Lovely place

"One of the nicest VRBO rentals I've stayed in. The property is exactly as described -- if anything, it's a little bigger than it looks in the photos. Bright, well equipped, comfortable, and absolutely spotless. The views of the garden and the farm are beautiful. The location feels rural although it's only a few minutes' drive from shops and restaurants. The owners are thoughtful and respectful. Recommended without hesitation."

  • Wonderful!

"My husband and I feel so fortunate to have found the Winery Lofts in Carlton. Check-in was easy, at the Ken Wright tasting room just across the street. Our unit (UNIT 6) was welcoming, comfortable and well-appointed. There was plenty of room for a longer stay and, even though we didn't prepare meals there, the kitchen was well-equipped. The kitchen was stocked with complimentary beverages (water, juice, etc) and snacks including a bag of Oregon hazelnuts and fresh fruit. The Umpqua oats that were provided were very much appreciated when we had an early morning departure. The building was quiet, felt safe and was easily accessed from a front and back entrance. We enjoyed visiting the wonderful wineries in the area, exploring the nearby town of McMinnville and hiking around the Trappist monastery. We would DEFINITELY want to stay there again, and hope to do so soon."

  • Great house with wonderful views!!

"We couldn't have asked for a better location to visit the beautiful Willamette Valley! The house sits in a great spot and feels like you are in your own world up there but still close to everything. The house itself was great. It really does have everything you need and the owners were great to work with! We were very comfortable and I would stay here again as well as definitely recommend to others. It was just my husband and myself for 3 nights (6 nights in the area but 3 nights at this property) and we were in and out a lot so we didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked taking advantage of this great property. We really would have liked to enjoy the great fire pit and the beautiful area at the top of the hill, but we did spend time in the evenings and in the mornings on the deck taking in the beautiful views! As far as location, it really is right in the middle of everywhere you want to go especially if you are there as we were to visit the awesome wineries in the area. We have been to Napa many times but I have to say the Willamette Valley is just as beautiful, maybe even more so. We spent one day at Cannon Beach on the coast - a drive I highly recommend (eat at the Wayfarer!) - and another day driving to the Columbia River Gorge and the beautiful falls. Wow there really is no bad or boring drive in the state, just more beautiful scenery everywhere you go. Area restaurants we liked, Babica Hen, for breakfast and lunch especially. Ruddick/Wood Grill, Jory at the Allison Inn and Tina's. Red Hills Market is great for sandwiches and snacks- we stopped in there a lot! Oh the wineries - Some favorites -Archery Summit, Domaine Serene, Sotor, Lange, Alexana and a little further away towards Salem I recommend Illahe, Cristom and St. Innocent. While in this area I highly suggest, if you are a cheese lover, a visit to the Willamette Valley Cheese Co. You can taste everything before you buy -and the list is long. Crazy good. We froze what we bought, packed it in our suitcases the morning of the flight and by the time we got home everything was still good and cold to go back in the fridge. Such a wonderful trip, we can't wait to visit again! Thank you Robert and Paula for sharing your beautiful home!"

  • Oregon's Pinot Noir experience

"Our group (ages 52-84) were out to experence the Oregon Pinot area and what an outstanding place to be! This lovely home suited our needs quite well - from the space for all to the beautiful countryside! Many evenings were enjoyed out on the patio to review our wineries finds of the day. It was wonderful to get out in the country and enjoy the piece and quite!"
