  • Wonderful views

"No Frills comfortable "apartment" which is actually the lower floor of this private home. We did not use the kitchen for much except a light breakfast and coffee but had everything we needed. Ron and Cheryl are great hosts. Road to house is windy and steep but no issues navigating with the help of GPS and a corolla. Large cars may find the sharp corners a challenge but plenty of parking at the house. The deck and windows offer an amazing view of the city. Peaceful quiet stay for me and my hubby. Thanks to Ron and Cheryl for providing this quiet escape."

  • Wonderful Visit

"My family of 5 adults stayed here over New Years. The place is very spacious and comfortable. My daughter and her husband found their bed to be so comfortable that they looked at the manufacturing label to see if they can purchase the same mattress and box springs!! We loved the fire place especially on the snowy nights. Our son lives within walking distance of this location, so it was a perfect location for us. It is very close to grocery store, restaurants, and parks. We will definitely be coming back."

  • Clean, Spacious Home in a Beautiful Area

"Sister's family lives in Corbett so wife, I, and the three kiddoes flew up for a visit. Troutdale is a beautiful, quaint little village and we had lunch and some shopping before the 4pm check-in at the condo. Upon arrival it was immaculate, spacious, with Starbucks coldbrew and chocolates in the fridge and soft music playing on the TV to welcome us. Ahhhhh.... Luggage down, got everyone settled in, and then back out for our adventures. Each morning we cooked our own healthy breakfast, and each evening we returned to a very clean comfortable home, complete with instant-on gas fireplace, coffee maker, some spices for quick cooking, and a feeling of restfulness. The beds were comfortable, sheets clean and fresh smelling; towels also. Garage had a separate little dinette for extra space for larger parties, although we never used it. Outdoor patio had some furniture on it and a tidy little backyard but as it rained almost the whole time we were there (delightful change from Scottsdale's wonderful boring constant sunshine) we didn't use that either. If you are going to be Portland centered, this place is a little further out than you might like. As we were hiking and sightseeing as well as visiting Portland, and heading further East to Corbett, this was a perfect location. Took a couple weeks to get my full damage deposit back, that could have been quicker. And a little pricey maybe, but wouldn't be surprised if we use this place again sometime! Really enjoyed our trip and the lodgings."

  • Great place to spend 34 nights!

"Great location for biking or walking the entire city of Portland. River view was nice for viewing Rose Festival Fleet. If not for the homeless issue in that part of town this would be 5 star ranking."
