  • Little slice of heaven

"Tucked behind some of Portland's most amazing restaurants, this sweet little cottage is the prefect oasis to retreat to amongst an other wise bustling neighborhood. There is plenty of action with in walking distance. The cottage is well appointed with creative details and lovely linens. The owner was very responsive and helpful."

  • Top of the line

"This place is in a great downtown location. Very high end especially for this middle class social worker. Lots of room. The two restaurants Gem and LaRambla were two of the best that we have dined at in a long time. Sitting at the window with a book was very relaxing. We brought my sister and her husband for their 25th anniversary celebration and they loved it."

  • University House Newberg OR

"We were in Newberg for our daughter's college graduation from George Fox University. U-House is a perfect location right across the street from GFU in the most quiet and charming neighborhood. Leigh, the owner has filled the house with her own family antiques. I especially loved the angel light fixture over the front entrance. Also, the office/library has the most amazing morning light and a peaceful place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee. On a nice day, I highly recommend Stoller Winery in Dayton (just past Dundee). Pack a picnic and relax outdoors, swing on the tire swing or play some frisbee golf. We loved it. Another favorite of ours is Red Hills Market, right across from Argyle winery in Dundee. It's a very casual market and eatery with local beer, wine and delicious food. Downtown Newberg is sleepy and quaint. If you have more than two people in your party, U-House is much more economical than staying in a hotel and the hotel choices in Newberg are limited. We were able to eat in for some meals and relaxed in the jacuzzi at night. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it."
