  • Fantastic!

"Our family has been vacationing at Casa Viento since our children were in elementary school. This was our last year vacationing with our oldest son for Spring break before he goes to college, so it meant so much to us to be there. Case Veinto is and has always been a place for us to relax, unwind, take naps, cook, enjoy the views, play games, work on puzzles, watch movies and most of all spend time together. Casa Viento has a fantastic view, great kitchen to cook in, spacious main floor living area, always super clean and tastefully decorated. The set up of the house is ideal for our family of 5, but could easily accomodate a few more friends or family. The new set up on the third floor with the two twin beds and a new flat screen TV was perfect for our teenagers to hang out, watch movies and play games. The beds are incredibly comfortable and we always feel like we got the best sleep ever! The outdoor fireplace set on the east side of the house was so great in the evening, because you could have a fire and stay sheltered from the wind. Stargazing a Casa Viento is out of this world! I would highly recommend a vacation at this fantastic property. Can't wait for our next beach trip to Casa Viento! Also, on a side note, I forgot my favorite pillow there, and the owners were so kind, I emailed them about it and they sent it to me! Excellent customer service!"

  • Great location - Loved our stay!

"This is our second time staying here. The house is very clean and we really like the location and it's close proximity to the river and the beach. The spacious yard and deck make it a great place to have a bbq and relax. We also liked to walk down to the beach and watch the sunset. While we were here we booked a fishing trip with Tidewind Sportfishing. They are a great outfit and will do all they can to make sure that you catch some fish. It was our 10 yr old son's first time and he really enjoyed it! Thank you Ken for everything! You are very accommodating. Your quick response while making the reservations, along with any questions that needed answered was very much appreciated. We look forward to coming back soon."

  • Great property, has all the amenities and a bunch of extras

"This property was incredible! Very comfortable, clean, lots of rooms and seating areas. The back patio has a great view and the gazebo hot tub area is great for enjoying the private backyard. TV's in every room, as well as, a well equipt coffee bar in the kitchen with plenty of dishes and kitchenware to accommodate very large groups. We'll definitely be back!!"

  • Great location, terrible beds

"This location was perfect, the house was great, the beds were terrible! The two queen beds have IKEA foam mattresses that are almost as hard as a box spring, and I am not exaggerating. Fortunately there were inner spring mattresses under some of the beds, and that is what we used. Hopefully the owners just ordered these and don't realize what they have placed in the house, as no one would find these acceptable. We loved that we could not see the other houses around us, that it was very quiet, and the scenery was beautiful. We did not like that we found out the grill was not operational until after we bought steaks. The WiFi is spotty, but that can't be helped in the mountains. If it went down, it was back up within a few minutes. The kitchen was very adequately stocked, and the dishwasher worked great. The fireplace is not currently working, so I would be very hesitant to rent this home during the winter as it is the main source of heat. The two downstairs bedrooms have baseboard heaters, but the main part of the house is very chilly, even in summer, without a major heat source. The bed configuration is a little odd in that the bedroom with the attached bathroom had two fulls, while the upstairs bedroom has a queen. So the parents were the ones coming downstairs in the middle of the night. We knew that going in, but you will want to be aware of that configuration. Overall, if they fix the mattress problem, we would not hesitate to stay there again in the summer."
