"Fantastic house with hot tub, basketball court, and your own movie theater. Perfect for multiple families or large groups. Very easy rental process and very responsive to any questions or issues. Strongly recommend."

  • Great place to stay at a great location. Great service!

"Nice little guest house close to the university. If you come during the summer note that it is not air conditioned, but does have windows and a skylight for ventilation. Beautiful walkway back to the entrance. The guest house is very well-maintained. A very nice place to stay!"

  • Pluses outweigh the negatives

"I'm going to list the negatives as so many people have noted the positives, which are all accurate. We were a family of 6 traveling together - my parents, our two children (18 & 21) and myself with my husband. This home is not comfortable for this type of group. The house is listed as being a three bedroom when in fact it is a one bedroom with two closets - meaning there are no windows and the bed takes the entire space of two of the 'bedrooms'. The ceiling is sloped so that my mom hit her head every time she got up. There is no 2nd means of egress (no windows or other type of exit), which is illegal where we come from. It is perfectly adequate for a young child if they don't mind sleeping in a closet (Harry Potter style!). The bed in the great room has no privacy so none of us wanted to sleep there. The children chose to stay with their uncle rather than stay at the house. The master bedroom is large and lovely with the fireplace going. There seems to be no heat otherwise. For winter travel, chains are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. We could not make it to the house because of the snow. Trying to drive along Skyline and then driving down the steep hill to the house proved impossible. We had to go back to my brother's home and borrow a car with chains. At the house, there was no shovel or salt to take care of the snow on the stairs to the loft. The owners did shovel the stairs after we asked but the drive way was so icy we kept slipping. Fortunately, no one fell as it would have been bad. After talking to Bryant he did call us a couple of times to make sure we could drive out of the area. For the positives, read the other reviews as they are all true. We loved the hiking trails so close to the house and had a wonderful lunch at the tavern close by. I would return but not with my family as it just isn't comfortable for 6 adults. And we'll pack chains for a winter visit."

  • Great Location - Fabulous House

"I rented this space for 4 adults attending a seminar in Portland. They were all very comfortable and very much enjoyed the location - especially being near the food co-op! Thanks for a smooth and easy transaction."
