  • My Eugene Home

"I just wrapped up another stay at the artful cottage while in Eugene for a sporting event. I love being able to get away from the crowds and find serenity at the cottage/the yard surrounding the cottage. The accommodations are fantastic and the food provided is always on point. The best way to describe my experiences staying at the artful cottage would be "wholistic" in that not only does my body get to rest and relax, but also my mind and spirit. Megas and Tom are wonderful! About the accommodations: Upstairs there are two beds, a full and a queen with a futon type couch that is about the size of a full bed when converted. In addition, there is a small television with a good selection of DVDs, some tv channels, and a bookshelf loaded with great reads. Downstairs is the kitchen with a shelf loaded with good organic eats which include: veggies, fruit, and whatever dietary needs requested. Additionally, there is a small two burner cooktop, a mini fridge (loaded with food!), a dishwasher, tea pot, coffee pot, and so forth. a standard bathroom is off of the kitchen. This would be a great place for almost anyone to stay unless there is difficulty with stairs as the beds are upstairs."

  • Great apartment!

"Nice basement apartment in a great area. Bus stop 2 minutes walk away with two quality brewpubs and 8-10 good restaurants within 10 minutes. We'd highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a friendly place with a local feel."

  • Magical Woodland Home

"Margie and David were excellent hosts. Margie is meticulous with details and careful to provide for her guests the best experience. David is helpful and kind. The place was clean and nicely decorated. We had everything we needed. My husband and I stayed in their apartment for twenty-one days. Being surrounding by tall green trees, birds and butterflies and listening to the late night train whistle was just the experience we wanted to have. At the same time, to be snuggling with Alexis, their sweet golden retriever made it my kind of place. Several times, we stayed the entire day at the property just enjoying the sounds of the water and looking at the sun sparkling on the green leaves. Even I took the time to begin a lovely relaxing activity which traveled with me to Chile: coloring books. Every time I color in my book I think about that place nestled in the woods where I would love to come back and stay forever. In my memories I bring the place to my eyes and I hear Alexis barking softly. Now, I feel I have a home in Portland where in spite of many visits I never felt before. ¡Gracias! We will be back."

  • Wonderful Family Weekend

"My family spent the weekend at this great property close to all the Dundee wineries. We were welcomed with a tasting in the tasting room, and then went to the house. My mom cried when she saw where we were staying. It was so beautiful and she really loved the Tuscan feel of the house nestled on a hill surrounded by lush vines. The house was perfect for us with the three bedrooms, gourmet kitchen, and large family area on the main floor. We played cards and board games each night by the fireplace. This property is really close to wineries, a grocery store, a brewery, and scenic landscaping. A great place to make your home for an incredible Oregon wine country experience!"
