"We were so lucky to find this unique property. We really felt like we were staying at a very special place. If your dream has always been to convert a barn to a home, this is a must stay! Not just the home with the amazing dining room and two master bedrooms, the gardens are to die for! We wished we had more time just to spend relaxing in the garden. We could tell the owners take much pride in their vacation rental. Can't wait until our travel plans take us back! Thank you! p.s. If you want to cook gourmet meals this is not the place, the kitchen is more like a kitchenette. We brought tons of snacks, drinks and coffee, we loved not cooking and had pizza delievered on our first night. The pizza place is down the street attached to the bowling alley! Pretty darn good!"

  • Favorite House at Black Butte

"This home is lovely, well kept and well managed. The Foote's (owners / managers) were responsive and helpful, making the whole process and stay smooth and easy. The home is large and easily sleeps 10 as it states on VRBO - not only that, the size of the home allows for 10 people to comfortably coexist - furthermore the huge kitchen makes it's easy for multiple people to prepare food! We loved the loft room over the garage as the kids room and hang out, the kids felt like they had their own hideaway and it made bedtime easy. One of the best features of this house is the AIR CONDITIONING! It got hot while we were at BBR and it was so nice to come back to a cool house. The back of the home looks out into an open space and every morning and every night there were deer running through. At one point we saw 11 deer in the backyard at once - pretty amazing and the kids loved it. We also enjoyed the large garage at this house which made getting bikes in / out super easy. Perfect location as well - close enough to Glaze Meadow to walk (or bike) and an enjoyable bike ride to the Lodge (Lakeside) Pool through the cow pasture meadow. We loved staying here and hope to stay again next summer!"

  • Great location and comfortable, well maintained home.

"The location was perfect with a beautiful view of the golf course and conveniently located close to the sharc and the village while still being private and peaceful. We very much enjoyed evening meals on the back deck and soaks in the hot tub. The house is clean and well maintained. It was a nice bonus that there were bicycles available in the garage. We loved going to the SHARC and riding some of the 38 miles of paved bike path. We floated the river, and it was so convenient to be able to park and take out at the Sun River Resort. The house is laid out well, and was great to all hang out together or to divide up between the two living rooms and deck. The only challenging part was the narrow kitchen; it was tight and difficult to have more than 1-2 people in at a time. Overall, we very much enjoyed the home and the trip."

  • Great SE location

"We were able to walk anywhere we wanted to be from this rental. Air conditioning was a plus, since it was unusually hot while we visited. Older travelers, or anyone with a disability may not enjoy the stairs to the bathroom in the middle of the night, but the apt. is comfortable, with a good shower. Tiny kitchen with a little stone table in the middle does not lend itself to ease of meal preparation, if you plan to cook in."
