  • A peaceful retreat in a hidden gem of the Oregon coast!!

"The Zen house was a wonderful retreat for myself and my sweetie. We were just a heartbeat away from cape perpetua where we hiked to the top (you can drive) for an outstanding view of the coast. We also went to several little stops right after cape perpetua Devils churn and several beaches strawberry hill to name one and found lots of agates and shells. The house is up for sale so we had tons of cars stop in the driveway and turn around and anytime we were out with the animals people stopped and asked about the place which was a bit annoying. The place does have a completely separate room but I do not feel this is a comfortable retreat for 5 people if you are looking to congregate play games as the living room truly only has comfortable seating for two. The futon is very old and I don't believe usable for an adult only a small child my family actually slept on the recliners which are extremely comfortable. The soaking tub and sauna and shower are as many have said the highlight of this home and honestly would bring me back again. The trail they talk about that is down the road away is less steep but if you have anybody who is not a strong walker as my mother was not it is jagged rocks and we all had to assist her. You have a beautiful ocean view from the top master and the windows on this room are out of this world for your morning and evening view you will not want to close the drapes. The deck is awesome and the star filled sky was spectacular. Overall my stay here was fabulous I would only recommend this place for couples personally but overall it was a spectacular vacation and I'm zen fully happy"

  • Lovely place

"One of the nicest VRBO rentals I've stayed in. The property is exactly as described -- if anything, it's a little bigger than it looks in the photos. Bright, well equipped, comfortable, and absolutely spotless. The views of the garden and the farm are beautiful. The location feels rural although it's only a few minutes' drive from shops and restaurants. The owners are thoughtful and respectful. Recommended without hesitation."

  • Curry Cabin plus Annex

"We spent a wonderful week at the Curry cabin and its adjoining annex. It was a family reunion of 9 people (2 kids under 10) and 1 dog. The cabin was sweet and rustic,…kitchen fully stocked, beds comfortable, a lovely backyard facing the lake with a nice view of the mountains. We had a problem with the plumbing early in the week which meant that we did not have the use of the downstairs bathroom for two days. Randy was very responsive and the handyman was able to help us out early on our third day there. It was inconvenient but we felt that our concerns were addressed. The lake is quite low and was quite a distance from the house…the area around it was covered with goose poop. This did not make the area conducive for swimming, fishing or using the boats that the cabin offers. That was our choice and Randy was very helpful with suggestions of other places to swim. Since it was a hot week we made good use of his suggestions of a quarry and another, smaller lake. There were no beaches on the lake but the water was refreshing and clean. In the interests of full disclosure…the write up of the house says that there is internet access. This is not actually true. As Randy told us prior to our arriving, you can create your own “hotspot” using your cell phone but we weren’t able to get this to work because of limited cell service. So if internet is important to anyone, be forewarned. Also understand that there are really only two bedrooms in the main house. The loft is an open area overlooking the living room next to the upstairs bedroom. If you add the annex there are three bedrooms plus the loft. The loft was perfect for the kids and their very generous aunt. The cabin is up in the mountains above Ashland…it is a 35-40 minute drive up a very windy, steep mountain road where there are often open road areas right next to a steep drop-off. This was a bit daunting at first but got easier as the week went along. Because there is not much in the way of groceries up on the mountain planning meals at the beginning of the week and really loading up on supplies made our stay less stressful. We really loved the annex…it is right off of the kitchen to the main house and was the perfect place for our family members to find a bit of privacy. All in all the cabin is as advertised…rustic and very adequate for 9 people…we even had an extra bed had we needed it."

  • We loved staying here!

"What a lovely house. It had the feel of a cabin and was very cozy. It was stocked with everything we needed and then some. The beds had to be the best we have had at Sunriver yet! The location was perfect, we have always stayed on the other side of Sunriver and thought that was the best but we were pleasantly surprised at how much we loved this location. We were able to float the river with ease and were close to the Shark and the shopping center. The deck is amazing and perfect for grilling and enjoying the weather. All around we enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent here again."
