  • Labor day weekend 2016 at Rocky shores Yachats( Ya-Hots)

"We were a group of 4 families and we rented both the top and bottom units. It was just perfect for our needs and the view was breathtaking. There were 3 bedrooms on each floor with separate kitchen, living and dining areas. The 3rd bedroom on each floor had two bunk beds each as well. The spa was in perfect working condition. That star attraction of our trip was the almost private sandy beach that was right below. The hike down the rocks was slightly tedious with the little kids but once we got there it was just amazing. We had 2 dogs with us as well and both of them had a fabulous time playing there. We went to Sand Dunes Frontier and got a tour on the dunes buggy. The smaller 4-5 seater dune buggies were so much fun! We then went to C&M stables near Baker Beach for a beach ride on the horse. The Heceta Head Lighthouse looked straight out of a story book. We had a lunch and a dinner at Ona restaurant in Yachats which is less than 2 miles from this house. The food was very impressive and the drink that they had on their specials menu called the " Thai Basil Press" is something that I am going to try to recreate."

  • A gem

"Loved the home, the view, the wet lands and bird life, the well prepared kitchen with supplies to cook anything our heart's desired. A gem of a home and spot. As others have said, the upstairs mattress needs to be replaced. It's seen it's best days."

  • Just what we needed

"What a relaxing setting. Cell phone reception was non-existent, but it sure made for a quiet retreat - which was lovely. Wish we could have stayed longer."

  • We Adore this Cabin!

"I love this cabin! The location is fabulous because it is so centrally located. We've been out for a day at the Illinois River, the Caves, Crater Lake and they were all within about an hour and a half drive. Not bad at all for a day trip! It takes us 10 minutes tops to get to Ashland from the cabin but at the same time you feel like you are in the middle of the woods while you're there and essentially you are. There's a grocery store about 5 minutes away for your convenience. If you forget anything on your trip Medford is also within about 15 minutes and there is a mall, every store imaginable, and most of the chain restaurants. Ashland has some great dining options as well, and if you are trying to save some money the cabin has everything you need for cooking meals and storing leftovers. It's peaceful and the beds are so incredibly comfortable. On our arrival the maintenance staff had put out a tray of goodies and some fresh flowers. So sweet and they lasted our entire stay! We always get visits from a family of deer and this last visit included a group of turkeys. The details in the cabin are special and you can see and feel the love that was put into building it and that goes into maintaining it for guests. I highly recommend this cabin for a visit to Ashland. It's a beautiful property."
