  • Very clean and modern

"This was the perfect place for us. We went there to do some business planning and fishing. Very close to raystown resort were we rented a boat for the day. Overall I'd recommend this cabin. Only regret is that we didn't have more time. I'll be taking the family there in the fall!"

  • Amazing

"We had a great experience at the Spring Meadows Guest house. Was perfect for family get togethers and lots of room for the kids to play. The owners were very accommodating, we'll definitely be back for another stay.....Eva and Bryan"

  • Probably the best designed vacation home I've ever seen.

"It's hard for me to add meaningfully to the years of overwhelmingly positive reviews you can read here -- honestly, they're pretty much right about all of it. This property is a gem. What I'll say is that unlike a lot of vacation homes I've stayed in, everything about the lodge really *worked*. All of the bathrooms and the kitchen actually vented outside (so, taking showers or cooking a stew didn't steam everyone). The central air actually propagated very well throughout the property -- not the usual "2nd floor is an oven while the first feels like the north pole". Thoughtful chandelier-style lighting and ceiling fans were absolutely everywhere (including the centerpiece deck / porch); and, I never had to hunt for a power outlet when I needed one. The "summer camp" theme is strong throughout the property, and made the place feel so much more like I'd gotten away from my city home -- the pictures simply don't do the place justice. Windows are placed strategically throughout so that you're never spiritually far from the pleasantly woodsy setting, and the tall vaulted ceiling was both visually handsome, and a treat for the ears in the rain. The layout of the property was very conducive to making spaces for people to get together and talk or play, while leaving plenty of room for some quiet reading when a bit more solitude was wanted. We honestly never missed the lack of Cable TV -- which is an endorsement all by itself. The kitchen was surprisingly well stocked and had room for two to comfortably work, and the dishwasher was a life-saver that did a better job than mine at home. About the only thing I really missed during our stay was a tub for soaking after a long day's hike, but it's hard to complain when there were 3 very nice showers and plentiful hot water. We're all very much looking forward to coming back next year!"

  • Great place for a family vacation!!

"Spent 4 days and 3 nights with our family of 15 people. We ALL had such a wonderful time from the oldest 65 to the youngest 7 months old. We spent the first afternoon and evening at the property playing games on the wonderful wrap around porch and dining around the large dining room table. The next two day were spent on Raystown Lake boating, skiing, swimming and enjoying the beautiful views and warm water. Our evenings were spent together in the open concept first floor. A GREAT place for family fun and entertaining . Thank you Spur of the Moment!!"
