  • Beautifully Restored and Comfortable Farmhouse

"We stayed in this beautiful historic farmhouse during our stay to see family and enjoy the IceFest in Chambersburg. First thing I would like to say is that Suzanne was very friendly and easy to work with when we were making the reservations for her farmhouse. Upon our arrival she stopped by to introduce herself and to tell us a few things about the house. My son and I loved the charm and warmth that his home had to offer. The house was built in the 1800's and one can imagine that there is quite a bit of history to the home. The 18" thick walls with the deep windows harkened back to the era the house was built. Suzanne did a wonderful job restoring the home and we enjoyed the modern amenities the house offered. Everything was clean and we were made to feel at home with nice touches that were provided such as coffee and snacks. The beds were comfortable and we had very good nights sleep during our stay. With all the comforts that this home offered we felt that it was a bargain compared to staying in a hotel. The home is convenient to Lincoln Hwy and Interstate 81 which made getting around easy. This is a great place to stay and a convenient starting point to all the area has to offer. We would definitely love the opportunity to stay here again and hopefully in the near future we can."

  • Great place for a break

"The cabin was perfect and as advertised. Our kids had a great time in the yard and at night we had fires in the large fire pit outside. Plenty of room for a family of four or more. Also being close to Cowan's Gap State Park was a big plus, even.especially off-season. We hiked on the Tuscarora Trail which runs nearby. The Milky Way diner is just down the road for good eats too. Thanks again!"

  • Spacious, Quiet, and Perfect for the Family

"We stayed here for 2 nights/3 days (Friday - Sunday). First night, we played chess and some board games that were available at the house and the 2nd night after a grueling day of skiing, we had nice fire going in the pit in the backyard with some smores. The house is very clean and decorated with cute cows throughout. It also has three temperature controls and despite our initial worries that the house might be cold, it was very warm and cozy. I would suggest bringing some firewood or stopping by at the Food Lion down the road to use the nice fire pit in the backyard. Also, the "beer distributor" in town closes at 8PM so make sure to bring enough beer/wine or you will find yourself with no options. Everyone enjoyed the stay and would highly recommend for families."
