  • Most peaceful retreat that one could ask for!

"I stayed here for a week with my wife and two young children. Upon arrival our first impression was that the place was very well kept on the outside, upon entering we noticed a welcoming folder with basic rules for the property and tips for tourism along with travel guides for local attractions and restaurants. The owners were very polite and did not bother us one bit like some properties do. They literally thought of everything at this property, only things you need is you're clothes, toiletries, and food! Free Wi-Fi, satellite television, hot hot water that doe not run out quickly, charcoal grill, soap provided, toilet paper and paper towels provided to get started, seasonings, plenty of pillows and blankets and towels. The place was extremely clean, they actually move furniture to clean unlike a hotel or something where they simply vacuum the visible areas. You must dispose of your own trash at the dump or leave $4 for each bag for them to dispose of it. We are already planning our next stay here!"

"The Linhaven Lodge was all we expected and more. A beautiful quiet cabin in the woods. It was clean and well stocked just as was advertised. Plenty of room for 5 adults, a 15 month old and a very happy golden retriever. I think it took all week to see all the interesting signs and decorations throughout the cabin. We set up a game/camera about 100 yards in the woods behind the cabin. We had pictures of several deer, lots of squirrels, an opossum and a small bear. We had a fire in the fire ring every evening except Thursday that was interrupted by a thunderstorm. We toured the Endless Mountain War Memorial in Sonestown. A private collection of military equipment that has to be seen to be believed. We went to the Eagles Mere Air and Car museum, again a private collection of pre World War II aircraft most of which can still fly. The car museum with over 100 cars and trucks many restored but several are "farm fresh". Both the War Memorial and Air and Car museum are open on the summer weekends only. We went to both Worlds End and Rickets Glen State Parks. I'm not sure who had more fun in the water my 15 month grand daughter or the golden retriever. For local restaurants we highly recommend the Colley Pub and the High Knob Inn. I would definetly recommend the Linhaven Lodge to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing time in Sullivan County."
