  • Felt right at home!!

"Thoroughly enjoyed a 30 + year reunion with a group of army buddies (total of 8 adults made it to the reunion/ would have accommodated the twelve expected). Very comfortable and roomy. We all felt right at home!! First time renting a home and to be honest I was apprehensive. Stacey made the whole process easy by responding to all my inquiries in a timely and courteous manner. Everything provided! and I do mean everything (just like home). Just needed to buy groceries. Did not try out restaurants recommended because we had a good time grilling and preparing our meals at the cottage. Great location. There was a lot offered in the community (beach, pools-- indoor and outdoor, tennis court, basketball court, rec center etc.), and outside the community (state parks and other attractions --water park, casino, zip line, etc.). The staff in the community were very courteous and helpful. Would definitely recommend to friends and relatives. THANK YOU!! Al and Stacey for allowing us to rent your home and having an enjoyable and memorable reunion. Jen, Chicago, IL"

  • What a beautiful Chalet Cabin

"My family and I had the pleasure of staying in this lovely cabin it was very clean the inside was beautifully laid out nice size living room, kitchen the bathroom didn't have a hot tub but who cares how much time do you spend in the bathroom anyway? Everyone slept well and we were able to enjoy the games that the owner had from when her kids were smaller like chutes and ladders and we even had a 500 rummy marathon!!! Nice flat screen tv we watched movies by the fire after we finished skiing and tubing at Big Boulder. Plenty of dishes and pots and pans if you want to cook which we did and had everything that we needed. So nice and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and we will be planning another trip for the spring/summer so that we can take advantage of the lake and all the other fun things there is to do in the warmer weather. Thank you lynn for your hospitality and even though we did not meet in person you made me feel welcomed. Gina and Jim"

  • Great Location

"The location is great. We biked and kayaked to the island pool. The Island pool is great for young kids (several water features) and adults, but no diving area. Boating was easier than on the main part of the lake (less wind) and it was shallow enough that the kids weren't intimated. The amenities in the house were as described. There were four kayaks, a canoe and a row boat. Kitchen utensils, appliances, HVAC, W/D, hot water were all excellent. We didn't use the hot tub, fireplaces or gas stove but they looked very inviting. The owner is responsive and easy to work with. The house could use a little TLC and a good deep cleaning but nothing major."

  • Pictures don't do this home justice!

"We stayed for a week at the end of June/beginning of July. Leading up to our stay, the owners were punctual with their responses to any questions we had about the property itself and payment. All transactions were done very easily & quickly over the computer. When we arrived at the property, it was clean and inviting. We were surprised at how beautiful it was. The pictures just don't do it justice. There are airy, vaulted ceilings throughout. The home was MUCH bigger than we expected. Six of us stayed here: My husband and I, my parents, and our two children, aged 2 and 4. Plenty of space! We definitely didn't feel cramped or on top of one another. Also, there's a shower stall in the master bathroom, which was really nice, as we're not bath people. The house is a short, 5 minute walk to the closest pool and playground, which was great for the kids. LOVED the mudroom, where we could take off all our wet clothes and not worry about tracking water or dirt through the house. Beds were comfortable, although I recommend you bring your own pillows! There was also a high chair and an extra mattress, in case your kids are going through some sleep issues. If I had to complain about anything (and I'm really nit-picking here), there was one burner on the stove that did not get as hot as it should, and the shower head in the master bathroom was a little rusty. Minor things that definitely will not effect your stay. Oh, the internet speed was also pretty decent! My husband brought his xbox360, and we were able to stream Netflix and HBO, so not having cable was not an issue at all! We will definitely be staying here again next summer! Highly recommend!!!"
