  • Perfect Weekend with Family!

"We arrived here July 2, 2016 to spend the 4th of July weekend with my family and fiance. I have to admit, my parents had many questions before booking and arrival that Harris answered promptly. Upon arrival, he greeted us to give us a tour of the place. The place was BEAUTIFUL! The creek is just a few steps away and we woke up to the sound of the waters each morning. The huge deck on the second floor that wraps around the entire second floor provided all 8 of us plenty of space. My grandma and parents enjoyed sitting by the fire pit in the early hours of the morning before heading out to sight seeing to near by Bushkill falls. Harris also provided us with four fishing rods and tubes for the creek. The water seemed shallow to go tubing and we tried fishing but with no luck - but being from NYC we don't have much patience. It's not a 5 star hotel, but it definitely has it's amenities that make it very homey. It was a home away from home. Also, I did not know there was a hammock but we did enjoy an hour or two enjoying the view and relaxing on it. We definitely over packed, so a word of advice, all pots and pans and silverware are provided as well as paper goods; even basic cooking ingredients. You literally have to just bring your food, drinks, clothes, towels and personal hygiene products. My first time on VRBO but I am so happy we chose this place. One of the nights it was very loud with constant fire works nearby but that is understandable since it was a holiday weekend. If situation allows, I would love to visit again, either with family or with friends. He provided us with more than enough paper goods and firewood, as well as live bait for fishing. We had the fire going in the pit most of the time throughout our stay, except when we went to bed. He has a few rules, but nothing too strict, things that make sense and would follow in your own home. I would recommend and stay over and over again! Thank you again Harris for your hospitality."

  • Very nice long weekend getaway for family!

"Our family had an awesome time at this house! A lot for the kids to do considering we picked a historically cold weekend to go to the Poconos! The owners were available for questions. It really felt like home away from home. Definitely highly recommend!"

  • Outstanding

"This place was easily my favorite home away I have ever stayed in. To start things off it was as clean as anywhere i have ever stayed, hotels included. no dirt no dust no chipped paint or old furniture. Great Pool table, Great hot tub placed overlooking the pond and the pond was a constant source of ralaxtion. They say it sleeps 6 but another owner would list this as sleeping 8. spacious and well maintained. The fire pit is beautiful and the kitchen is well stocked. this is a real gem and only 2 1/2 hours from NYC"

  • Christmas at Dwarfskill Preserve

"Dwarfskill Preserve is a special place where all of nature's bounties seem to meet bringing beauty and serenity to all who visit for a time. Our family do to unusual circumstances came to spend Christmas at the Preserve this year and it was a Christmas that will long be remembered by friends and family who came to visit or to stay for awhile. We arrived prepared but really much that we needed was there already anticipated for us. We had large family dinners, sat with stories and tea by the fire in the Lodge, and hiked to the falls by the swimming hole and then to the larger falls beyond. On one rainy day we took a short ride to the charming town of Milford visiting shops and stopping for coffee and tea at the Fauchere Patisserie. The town was beautifully decorated for the holidays! Whether it is the sound of rushing water that fills the woods greeting you when you arrive or the generous hospitality of Sean and Cindy (and Alfie) there is a prevailing sense as you walk its grounds that the Preserve is someplace rare and wonderful."
