  • Cozy and beautiful house

"We rented this house for new years eve weekend. We had 9 people at the house, one toddler and 2 small dogs. Everyone had such a wonderful time. The kitchen was really spacious and well equipped. We spent a lof of time in the cozy living room relaxing by the fireplace. Everyone was impressed by the house and had a great time. I would recommend this house for gateways with friends and family!"

  • Amazing getaway

"I apologize for the late review but I definitely wanted to get it in. My family had an awesome stay over spring break and this house had everything and more for us. The area itself is quiet and beautiful which is what we wanted because we live on such a busy road. You walk in to a VERY clean home and the pictures are accurate. The house is warm and cozy and its just so charming you don't feel in a rental home. There were 7 of us total and there was a ton of space for everyone. We never felt like we were in each other's way. Beds were so comfortable! The kitchen had everything we neededfor meals. All I cared about was the coffee maker. The upstairs loft was awesome! Board games and the wii were fun for the kids. My 3 year old LOVED the train set!! But don't close the trunk with the board games! My husband closed it and it locked but that wasn't a big deal for us. There were playing cards and Trivia books that we had fun playing with. Kalahari is pretty awesome and was probably only 9 minutes away. Camel back wasn't too far as well. Jim Thorpe was amazing and a definite must see. Jubilee had really good food and everyone was really friendly each time we went. Groceries weren't too far away and other places to eat. Greg responded to my emails quickly and gave me some great information on the area being we were first timers. The whole process was smooth from beginning to end. My family and I had such a great time that we will be back! I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here! Thank you again for opening up your home to us!"

  • Serene and Quiet

"First I will start off by saying that the owner is very responsive and helpful and happy to open their home to you. It was a great location to celebrate my big 4-0 and it was just what I was looking for! My husband and I traveled with 2 teenage girls (one mine and the other her friend) and our dog, and they had just as much fun as we did. The house is very clean and well taken care of. The dog loved going for walks and just watching the wooded world go by out the windows and staying on the deck-her nose was going a mile a minute! We loved the big, open windows in the master-it was so nice to wake up to the sunshine and the birds every morning. The girls slept in the bunk beds and enjoyed having their own living space. We enjoyed using the gym facilities at the clubhouse and I definitely recommend getting the temporary membership. The pools and the beaches were beautiful and clean and never too crowded. And having an ice cream stand just down the road became our evening ritual- ice cream cones on the beach! We have friends in Lake Naomi in Timber Trails and it was easy to visit with them, we had never visited the area before and found it accessible and convenient to so many of the Pocono attractions. We also stopped for coffee several mornings at the Mountaintop Lodge (just a side note, the bakery at the Mountaintop Lodge made my birthday cake and it was outstanding!) and had coffee and breakfast on the big porch in the rocking chairs. It was nice to feel like we were in the middle of nowhere. I grew up vacationing on lakes, as did my husband, so this was something new for our family to do. When we vacation we are always on the go with sites to see-it was nice having a few days built in to go to the pool and swim or sit on the beach and read a book. There are restaurants on premises and nearby-with some research-you will not go hungry! If you have younger children, there are tons of things in the home to keep them entertained on a rainy day-games, videos, toys-they really have the younger guests taken care of! It was a lovely stay, thank you for having my family!"

  • beautiful lake house

"This was my first time staying in the Poconos for a week. The house and the lake was much prettier than the pictures. I loved that I could take my golden retriever and walk him every morning down by the lake. Everything was in walking distance as far as the canoe's, beach, volleyball court and pool. There is so much to do in the surrounding area. We had a lovely, very relaxing time. I would highly recommend this house! Next year I would plan on going when the pools are opened. Thank you Connie for everything!"
