  • We had a great time!

"My family did not stop the entire time we were on vacation, but it was still relaxing. How? Everything we did was local. On the property we played ping pong, fished, swam, kayaked, and used the fire ring. Within the Lake Naomi community there are two pools, a community center, a golf course and more. All of these amenities are close enough to bike too. One of the pools is close enough to walk, but since it was directly across the lake my children chose to swim. The lake is relatively shallow between the house and the pool. There are not many places you need to actually swim. We cooked our own meals, but did get out to the Jubilee Restaurant and the Clubhouse restaurants. I would recommend both of them. We did ventured out of the community to buy groceries, hike, play putt-putt, and catch some NASCAR action. Pocono International Speedway is located in Long Pond which is only a 15 minute drive. About the same distance away is the 940 Golf N’ Fun for put-put and ice-cream. There are State Game Lands just North of Timber trails. We hiked one of the trails down to a nice set of waterfalls. I think the farthest we had to travel was to the Shoprite in Mount Pocono (maybe 30 min). In the Shoprite you can purchase beer and there is also a Wine and Spirits store adjacent to it. The house is comfortable enough for three adults, four teenagers, and a labrador retriever. We rescued a seven year old lab last year and did not want to leave her in a kennel. She was the biggest factor in choosing this house over all the others to rent. I think Duchess had a best time of all. The owners are very friendly and easy to work with. We had no problems with booking the house or with the house itself. I would definitely recommend staying here to others and would stay here again myself."

  • We were a group of 11 over 40 amazing women, and ALL of us thought the house was spectacular

"When we arrived Rick was waiting for us. He had just shoveled and salted the entire exterior of the house! He gave us a museum worthy tour of the home explaining every last detail and answering all possible questions before we could even ask them. It was beyond clear that he treasures this property and loves sharing it with his guests. The kitchen was stocked with eggs, bacon, orange juice and a fully stocked pantry of staples for us to enjoy. All linens, towels, blankets and pillows are provided, which is extremely helpful!! The hot tub was hot and clean and towels were supplied for that as well. There was parking for all 7+ of our cars.We had a fantastic time and are already planning our trip back next year! Thank you, Rick and family for sharing your home with us!"
