  • Beatiful getaway weekend from New York City

"Thank you for the rental! It was a nice getaway weekend at the Tim’s house. We traveled with a group of nine people, and it was more than enough space for everyone in the cabin. We really enjoyed doing barbeque at the outdoor terrace. Definitely, the house is spacious and comfortable for spending your time outside of the city. There is only one thing that needs some improvement- the carpeting in the leaving room. Overall, I highly recommend to rent this house, it is certainly worth it!"

  • Beautiful, quiet and remote setting - great hosts!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The setting is spectacular with hiking, biking and fishing within a short hop from the front porch. The Brookside Lodges are fantastic places to spend a weekend or a week in the woods. The cottages are on the edge of the owner's estate, which is fully kitted out and you can access the swimming pond, games barn and many other amenities. Each cottage has a great wrap around porch with swings, hammocks, tables and chairs, and a new gas grill. What sets the Brookside lodges apart is the attentiveness and availability of the owners. Upon arrival, we were offered a tour of the property, the use of the swimming and fishing ponds, use of bikes, and an ATV tour. Wood, kindling, and newspaper for the outdoor fire pit appeared from thin air alongside marshmallow spears for making smores. You can't beat attentive service like that! The kitchens are well equipped, but are a practical kitchen. The fireplaces are beautiful and very (very) warm. In the Brookside cabin, the main bathroom has a claw tub with a European shower, which for us was not an issue but some may not prefer. Note that there is no wifi or large screen TV, but given the setting and general perfection any guest more interested in surfing the web or watching tv than being outside and enjoying the quiet needs his or her head examined. We hope our travels bring us back to enjoy this unique setting again in the future. Our kids are already making their pitch to return. Many thanks for a great weekend!"

  • lovely get away

"we stayed for a quick last minute holiday get away. it was a lovely place that met our needs well. we were 4 adults and 5 children age 10-16. Nice to have two bedrooms and a bathroom on each floor. We loved watching the deer in the woods off the deck and playing pool on the first level. The owner was very informative with lots of tips for attractions and restaurants. Lots of hiking nearby. Nicks lakehouse was our favorite for family friendly and nice view of lake and fabulous waitress Haylie:)"

  • Beautiful home for a family getaway!

"We rented for the Thanksgiving week and had an extraordinary time. The home was the perfect "home away" for our family holiday. Plenty of room, great kitchen and common areas, beautiful fireplace, and great community amenities for everyone (we enjoyed the gym, indoor pool, and indoor tennis). Greg was a pleasure to work with and a wonderful host!"
