  • Enjoyed our long weekend

"We were looking for a Memorial Day weekend get away with fun nearby. This house totally met our needs. The kitchen is well equipped top to bottom--but if you're going to cook, just make sure to bring your own spices, etc. There is a grocery store nearby if needed. We enjoyed the evenings out on the screened in porch, with the deer eating in the backyard. We enjoyed breakfasts on the front part of deck. FYI--the rental agreement clearly states to bring your own towels--that includes a bath mat. We just didn't even think to bring the bath mat, and used an extra towel instead. I'd also recommend taking wipes or something, we used them wipe off the outdoor furniture because it's covered in pollen this time of year. Nothing can help that, wipe them off unless you want a green butt. One drawback, for us, to this house was the development itself. It's not pedestrian or biking friendly. There are no sidewalks or walking paths. We found one walking path around one of the ponds. It's a beautiful setting to walk around in, but it's not walking friendly as many of the drivers seemed to disregard speed limits, passing slower cars, etc. The pools looked nice but we just chose not to use them. There were several people fishing at the one pond one evening that gets stocked with some fish, according to a local we met. It's very close to Bushkill Falls, which was crowded but a nice hike. We also did a few things in the Delaware Water Gap, which was crazy busy. We tried two times to get in to the one visitor's center, and the road was closed because there was no room to park there. So we explored on our own. One cool place to visit in nice weather is the Marie Zimmerman Farm House, it's back a dirt road. There wasn't anyone there and we explored the property, took lots of pictures. We didn't try any of the local restaurants, except to grab a deli sandwich from The Roost. But there did seem to be quite a few options in the area."

"We stayed overnight before a paintball trip to local skirmish PA. The cabin was as pictured as was perfect for our needs. I do have to say it isn't as well taken care of as it could be- but aside from a few dents and dings it was certainly clean enough. It felt like I was staying at a close friend or family members cabin as opposed to a high dollar rental. We will definitely consider staying here again when we come back in July for another trip to skirmish. The owners were very helpful prior to our stay- and even though we didn't need to contact them while we were there I had a private cell number just in case."

  • Can't wait to come back again...

"Another great weekend away with friends! This is our fourth visit to "our" house on the lake. We love it here. The best view and every thing we could possibly need. This visit gave us the best of almost every season. Sunshine, rain, and a little bit of snow. Thank you again! Until next time..."

  • need more pics

"Upon arrival, we were unable to go into private road due to the blockage by a construction truck. I asked the worker to move- did so promptly. The other adults with me questioned the Porto potty on the premises. This was later removed. The main cabin was just as described and met my expectations. The bunk house on the other hand was marginal. If you plan to use it, please ask for a pic- you may change mind. It is not to the same caliber as the main cabin. The main cabin is exceptionally filled with anything you may need for an extended stay. The only exception was the available wood for the fire pit. While there is "plenty of wood in the area"; we did not plan or intend to find, cut, and hall to the fire pit. Luckily we were able to purchase cut wood from available sellers about. I would suggest that the owner have listings of near by restaurants and the like in that we did not cook - nor did we have intentions to do so. Therefore, we spent an inordinate amount of time finding these. I would say this would be more aligned for a couple use rather than several adults (as was our situation). We did not use any of the cooking or cleaning appliances- had everything (microwave, oven, stove, washer, dryer, etc.). We did not use TV - the Wi-Fi needed to be reset- so if you do not know how to do this- it would be a problem. Also- cell phone reception was bad (we did not use phone in cabin). Considering the items we used and not used, it was not suited well for us. If I return (I may) with spouse, it may be a better fit- but the price would need to be reduced. Additional notes: Can hear traffic from rt. 15 very close by. Property was cleaned well and had linens, towels, etc.. The closest nearby gas station ( about 1 mile) had a good pizza and most amenities if needed"
