  • Lovely New Hope house

"Six of us stayed here for a long wedding weekend (July 2016) and cannot recommend it highly enough. The house is lovely and comfortably appointed - fabulous gourmet kitchen - beautiful, private garden with fountains, very tranquil. Absolutely immaculate. The location is a short drive/walk from New Hope / Lambertville (less than a mile). This was an effortless stay for us, and Diana, our hostess, made us feel very welcome and well cared for. Note that there was a heatwave and the house was completely cool and comfortable. This area is lots of fun for antiquing, dining, exploring history, hiking, biking etc etc., and this house is a welcome place to return to at the end of a full day. Diana left lots of helpful information about the house, local restaurants, grocery stores, and left wine and desserts for us on our arrival. As others have noted, the house is antique and the stairs are steep so small children / those with mobility issues may have difficulties. We did not experience any problems. The kitchen and grille are top of the line and I wish we had more time to use them! Beds and linens are wonderful. We hope to return."

  • Comfortable, clean, quiet place to relax

"We are city dwellers and rented the cottage with our young children to explore life in the West Chester area and enjoy a peaceful break in a more rural environment. For these purposes, it was ideal. We had a great stay. The house in a quiet neighborhood and is fairly private thanks to trees and fences. The front yard is huge and the back yard is smaller but nicely landscaped and was plenty of space for our family. The cottage itself was perfect - comfortable, clean, lovingly furnished and stocked with everything we needed. From the photos we weren't sure if the living area would be spacious enough for a family of four, but it was more than enough. The manager was helpful and responsive. It's about a 10 minute drive to the center of West Chester and only 45 minutes to Dutch Wonderland in West Chester. About an hour to Philly, give or take, depending on traffic. Lots of playgrounds within short driving distance. We would stay here again."

  • Very nice, clean, up to date farm house.

"This listing was very nice, clean and up to date in regards to amenities needed, such as wifi, washer, dryer, etc. It had a very nice small garden shed in back, that we used to keep our small dog in, during the day, when we were out touring the area. The owner was local and very friendly, answered all questions we had, helping with pamphlets for local attractions. It was a perfect spot for our family of 5 adults, and would highly recommend it."
