  • Awesome

"I loved our stay at this home. The kitchen was super convenient, especially since my spouse has Celiac disease (severe gluten allergy) we walked to Whole Foods to pick up some food items to reduce the chance of gluten exposure at a restaurant. There were kid cups and bowls in the kitchen- super awesome. The house was SPARKLING clean (how is that even possible in an older historic home???!!!). The bed linens were crisp and clean. Josh responded to my emails immediately. My only concern was the stairs. My daughters are 2 and 3. They were thrilled with their twin beds on the 4th floor, but there is a spot on the top of the 4th floor where if they stepped off, they would fall approx 6 feet onto the curved staircase. I tried to make a makeshift baby gate with the rolling grocery cart to barricade them at bed time but I did not want to cause any damage to the walls. In the end, my husband slept upstairs with one kid and I slept in the queen bedroom with the other kid. I was able to barricade the stairs to the downstairs kitchen with a stroller. This is NOT a complaint on this lovely home- just pointing out that my kids were super excited to explore the home and I got weary of hollering at them to stay away from the stairs. Again, the house was amazing and everything else was great- just keep in mind if you have young children. TV and Wi-Fi worked great. Thanks for letting us stay in this house."

  • Perfect house for our family's trip to Philly

"We spent a week in this wonderful house with our 4 little girls over the holidays. Everything about the house was great: location on a cute, quiet (but close to everything) street, the parking spot in the driveway (huge bonus), the incredibly tasteful and comfortable furnishings (holiday decorations a nice bonus), the spacious 3rd floor loft with huge TV and electric fireplace, the amazing roof deck with plenty of seating and views of the skyline, and on and on. The host was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. We would highly recommend and hope to get back for future visits."

  • The carriage house has a great location and is an awesome xcellent choice

"We stayed overnight at the carriage house and loved it. The location can't be beat if you'd like to visit the Mutter and other downtown museums. We walked to the Mutter and the art museum of Philadelphia. We passed the Franklin Institute, so it's available too from this location. Lots of restaurants and eateries are close-by. We enjoyed Rouge for dinner. The kitchen was well appointed and the bed is clean and comfortable. I have no doubts that we'll return to this spot for our next trip to Philadelphia!"
