  • Perfect in every way

"This was our third year and our third attempt to find a great vacation home in the Poconos. Well, our search is over and we have found our future go-to place. The home is just as pictured--but better! The neighborhood is quiet with another home on only one side, barely visible through the trees. Our family of 6, which is my husband and I plus our 4 adult children, had plenty of room to spread out and find our own spaces, or hang out together. My two favorite places were the huge deck and the lovely master suite. There is a Wawa about five minutes away, along with a dollar store and a grocery store, but otherwise there isn't much in the way of commerce close by. We drove to Lake Wallenpaupack and went tubing one day, and we biked at the Lehigh Gorge Rail Trail about 10 miles west, but otherwise we were happy to just hang out at the house, play ping-pong, swim in the lake, walk the dogs, bike around the neighborhood, or lounge on the deck. Every one of us agreed: terrific place and we will be back next year."

  • Wonderful girls weekend

"Thank you for the opportunity to rent your home. Our group of 8 had more than enough room to relax and enjoy Potter County. We took a day trip to Corning and a night trip to Cherry Springs park. Even though it was a little cloudy, we saw a shooting star from the porch of this home. There were more than enough books if you wanted to just read and relax. I would definitely recommend this home."

  • Thanksgiving Holidays at Helen's Hide Inn

"We just spent a relaxing Thanksgiving holidays at Helen’s Hide Inn. There were 12 of us from three different families. We picked Helen’s Hide Inn because it was centrally located between the families and it had the bedrooms (5) and baths (5) that we needed. The Inn was very comfortable for all of us with a large family room and two full kitchens. The furnishings are comfortable and the downstairs rooms are large so that our large group never felt cramped. The day after Thanksgiving we visited the Frank Lloyd Wright house at Falllingwater, which I highly recommend. The only issues to be aware of is that the house is next to a busy road so at night you can hear the cars passing. Also the bedrooms are small but adequate since if you are there you will want spend your time in the family room or outside. I highly recommend Helen’s Hide Inn and look forward to going there next year."

  • Great place!

"Went up with 3 other couples and had a great time! I must say the pictures don't give this place justice..its much nicer and larger than the pictures look...It's actually three floors (and a loft )! It was hassle free and the landlord was available to answer any questions we had by phone. The ski on ski off was perfect and so easy to get to. We are definitely looking forward to coming back , maybe even this summer!"
