  • On Campbell Pond

"Words can’t describe the serenity and beauty of this quiet retreat. The cottage is better than described and the grounds and pond are just beautiful. So much thought has been put into creating a relaxing atmosphere. Bird feeders, hummingbird feeders, bird houses and lots more – there is something to enjoy outside of every window. The “sun room” or the deck is where we spent most of our time, watching the birds, animals and the pond. We saw deer each morning feeding among the grasses along the pond and wandering the walking trails. And there are lots of walking trails mowed short to allow for easy hikes all over the property. There are seating areas all around the grounds. Flowers were everywhere as well as the fields of wildflowers. A vase of wildflowers and a nice “welcome back” note greeted us upon our arrival. (Dan had been here once already in the early Spring.) Everything was clean and fresh. Mona and Bryon are available if you have any questions or need assistance. We were here during a rather hot spell in Pittsburgh. But at the cottage the temperature was comfortable and the air conditioner in the loft kept the entire cottage cool. The deck is a great place to sit and read or talk. Fishing off the dock was a relaxing past time. And the beautiful water lilies on the pond amazed us each day as they opened in the morning and closed in the late afternoon. Thanks for sharing this little gem so close to our home in Pittsburgh. We will definitely return. Kathy and Dan"

  • Great House for Reunion

"The house was great. Open floor on main floor, well-equipped kitchen, large dining table, everything was clean and worked. Four BRs on upper floor (one with attached bath) were good sized. Bottom floor with game/TV room and bunk beds worked well for the younger set. The owner has great attention to detail. Provided snacks and coffee for first day. Plenty of paper products, towels, blankets, etc. Minor points -- some of the cell phones didn't get reception (not that surprising in mountains), but owner provided a free land-line. [Internet worked well.] Pleasant weather in September, but leaving windows open meant hearing cars drive on dirt road."

  • Fun trip!

"We had a great time here! The house was great - very spacious and had everything we needed. The purpose of our trip was to go white water rafting on the Youghiogheny River - that was awesome - we had knowledgeable and fun guides. The water was challenging at times, but not too bad for some of the younger teens in the family. Was great to come back and relax at the house afterwards."

  • 9116 Aspen, Seven Springs

"Our rental worked out perfectly. Very nice place. Reasonable price. Clean. Well appointed. Convenient. Owner was very helpful and courteous. Other than a few glitches in the beginning confirming the reservation, everything was enjoyable. Would go there again."
