  • An beautiful vacation house -

"It was one of our most memorable vacation places we had visited in recent times. The house is just stunning. Great views in the woods, high ceilings, plenty of bed rooms and beds and very cozy and relaxing "nest". Everything available in the house, kitchen, utensils, gas range, just get the food ... :-) Very good and reasonable owners, hassle free, responsive and made the rental process very easy. Will highly recommend the house and I am sure to revisit the place myself. Thank you again for a very relaxing vacation and a beautiful house which we all enjoyed thoroughly."

  • great group escape location

"i've been renting redwood and sundance together for 4 years now, for both a large family gathering (grandparents through toddlers) and a guys golf trip. the houses are great for both and our annual return is a clear indicator of how much we enjoy them. the layout is great for a bunch of adults and the yards work well for outdoor activities. we expect to be back in 2017."

  • Lovely home & great location

"My lovely bride and I, another couple, and a friend from Pittsburgh spent two nights at this lovely place in late May. The property is just as described. Working with Kara (the owner) was a great experience: very responsive, quick to answer questions, and quick to give us a heads-up about getting gas before we got to town. The home sits above the Yough River, easy to see and hear from the house, deck or hot tub. Easy parking for two vehicles. Inside, the house is very comfortable, with a big closet to the right of the front door and a bathroom to the left. The living room has good lighting and comfy sofa and chairs. The kitchen is well equipped; all appliances were easy to use. The dining "bar" only has four stools but there are folding chairs in the closet. The master bedroom is quite large with a huge closet, full bath with old-fashioned tub and plastic shower curtains. There is a door that opens onto the deck. The kitchen also has a door that opens onto the deck. We cooked-in both nights and enjoyed our meals on the deck (we had perfect weather!). The other downstairs bedroom has twin beds. The loft is huge, with chairs on one end, and windows galore. There is no bathroom up here. Guests using the loft have to use the bathroom on the first floor. The washer and dryer are in the basement and there was plenty of laundry soap. Easy to use Wi-Fi. Three of us used the hot tub each late afternoon = as my wife said each time she climbed in: "Aaahhhhh!" The road is totally quiet since the only two houses are those owned by Kara and her husband, John. We visited the Flight 93 Memorial up in Stoystown/Shanksville = a powerful and moving experience. We also visited Fallingwater, Frank Lloyd Wright's iconic home built for the Kaufman family = awesome. And on the day we departed, we did a short hike in Ohiopyle State Park = beautiful. One evening we walked down the hill and across the bridge to the Outflow Ice Cream shop = yummy! Kara will send you a lot of information about the house and you will find a binder with the same and additional info on the living room table. There also are brochures to area attractions on the shelf in the living room. Overall, we had a wonderful time staying here. Our only regret: we couldn't stay longer!"

  • What a beautiful home!

"My family of 4 came for a ski weekend in January and had a fabulous time! We had plenty of room, and the girls loved the bunk beds. The condo has the perfect setup for a large group (could have fit 4 more easily)-the ski/boot storage right as you come in is perfect for leaving all the ski equipment near the entrance, and the beds are set away from the living area so that multi-age groups can all sleep and play at the same time. The kitchen was the best equipped I have ever had in a rental, and we cooked all our meals at home. We will definitely come back for our next ski weekend!"
