  • Peaceful and Cozy Thanksgiving Retreat

"Staying at The Lucky Duck was a great experience. From the start the owner was informative and helpful in facilitating our stay. The cottage is well equipped and allowed us to enjoy a relaxing and comfortable Thanksgiving break. Having the rail trail so close allowed for a daily walk or bike ride. We enjoyed card and board games and watching TV or DVD's. Making cozy camp fires to roast marsh mallows and hot dogs was easy and fun since the garage is well stocked with dry wood. We enjoyed being able to also bring along our family dog. He also enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The kitchen is well equipped. It was nice to have clean and ready beds upon arrival. You won't be disappointed visiting the Lucky Duck! Enjoyable and relaxing even in November :)"

  • We had a great Week

"The cabin was beautiful. Everything we needed. Quiet setting with trail behind the cabin. Great place to walk or bike. We were able to access the water at the church down the road for a short kayak trip and tubing. Water low due to dry weather. Like having a cabin of my own with out all the work! Hope to come back maybe in the winter for snowmobiling."

  • Excellent cabin with a beautiful stream and fire pit.

"Thank you so much for allowing our family to stay at your cabin! The owners were willing to accommodate a late reservation and were kind and courteous through out the experience. The cabin was extremely well stocked and full of things you might have forgotten at home. Plus Internet and satellite tv was a nice surprise. There was wood ready for the fire and on a damp day dry wood made all the difference. I would definitely recommend the cabin to friends and family, if your lucky enough to spend some time here enjoy!"

  • Gorgeous oasis in the woods served as the perfect, relaxing getaway

"We decided to book this cabin as a meeting point as it's approximately halfway between our friends' home and our home. We both have dogs (Dalmatian and Blue Tick Coonhound) and loved that the cabin was dog-friendly! The yard is perfect for letting the dogs run to get their energy out, and there are so many dog-friendly hiking trails a short drive from the house. The house was clean and had everything that we needed with great instructions on how to enter, what to do to connect to Wifi and what to do when leaving the house. We definitely would recommend this to anyone who is looking to get away as a family of 4 or with another couple. The only thing we wished was there was a lake to swim in after the hike! We also missed the creature comfort of having a dishwasher, but otherwise no complaints! We would definitely consider booking again and are so appreciative of Penny and Rob."
