  • Relaxing

"This cottage was clean, bright, and comfortable. The owners have done a nice job with decorating and maintenance. The bed was comfortable and towels were plush. The yard was tidy and inviting. It was nice to sit by the rivers edge and read. I just wish that they had remembered to restock the fire making supplies as the indoor fireplace was one of the main reasons I chose this rental over a few others I was considering. There is a fantastic eclectic music library but just a few dvds. The kitchen had a few spices and a selection of pans and utensils that were adequate for my needs. I would consider visiting again in warmer weather so I could enjoy the river more fully."

  • Relaxing and peaceful location to unwind.

"Our family enjoyed our Canadian Thanksgiving at the Wheeler-Farley House. We are repeat visitors, so we knew it was well maintained and it offered so much to do in the area. There are enough beds to accommodate about 15 people and kitchen/ dining area that will seat any large family easily. There is Wi Fi available and big screen t.v. to enjoy in front of a beautiful wood fireplace. We highly recommend the Wheeler-Farley House to anyone that wants to get away and relax in beautiful surroundings in the Allegheny. Excellent customer service and information provided by the Palmiero's."

  • Second Time

"Second time we stayed here.Another great time had by all. Nice place for a getaway. Plenty of things to do in the area. Cabin is as depicted in narrative and photos. Everything you need (except food and beverages) is at the cabin including wood for the outdoor fire pit. Owners have added several new additions since our last visit - property is well maintained. Patty and Andy are easy to work with via phone or email - respond very quickly. I would recommend the cabin. We personally spend all our time at the cabin outdoors around the campfire - there is a nice lighted pavilion with tables to make campfire cooking easy. Other cabins are in the area but you have plenty of privacy."

  • Wonderful place for family reunion!

"We had 35 people ranging from less than a year to 86. Very comfy, big kitchen, lots of places to lounge together or separately inside and out. The kitchen arrangement allowed for cooking while still being with everyone. We had a bonfire every night. Lots of electrical outlets. Nooks for book reading, places to walk. Close to Titusville to pick up groceries. So nice to not have to be split up at hotels and to have time together, in small groups, or privacy. A most lovely reunion. Would definitely do it again. Whitney was very flexible and responsive. We rented a lift chair for one of the elders and had no trouble with delivery and pickup. Plenty of room for eating, storing food, two refrigerators in house with kitchen."
