"The talk of bed bugs it not true I have been staying at summer hill for over a decade with my family and I think the people who wrote the bed bug story were required to bring their own sheets at that time. Gail and Mike are the best and so is the house. We have grandchildren who are now turning 13 and we have never seen bed bugs or had any issue with the beautiful Summer Hill it is our home away from home. Don't believe everything you read !!! summer hill is a gem !! perfect every year. Really can't say enough for the house and it's hosts"

  • Happy Dog

"Breathtaking sunsets set to a sound track of birds, crickets, cows, distant surf and sea bells. We never repeat vacations but have made our reservations for 2018. Had a great time having our dog with us, and he loved it. We did a number of geocaches and though we didn't find each cache we found beautiful vistas all over the Island and then came back to the Lewis farm for the best view of all. One warning if you're over 6 foot watch your head going into the kitchen. The Lewis's were charming and we felt honored to be on the property of a family that has such a legacy in preserving the Island."

  • Lovely Cottage on a Beautiful Island

"A week at Whitegate Cottage stopped time and let us relax and breathe in the extraordinary beauty that is Block Island. The cottage is charming and was built with love. While it's a small house, it feels spacious. You're up on a hill with beautiful views. Breezes constantly come through the open windows. The clarity of the sky at night is phenomenal. On a clear morning you can see the ocean in the distance from the upstairs bedroom, and if the surf is active you can hear the waves breaking. The Nolans were gracious and friendly. They gave us wonderful suggestion for nearby beaches and walks with breathtaking views. I've never had such a lovely, relaxed vacation."
