  • Simply.......'Magical'!!!

"Looking for a remarkable place to escape to and enjoy the peace and solitude of beautiful Block Island???? Look no further...... The Barn at Schooner Point is 'the' most enchanting place to stay. You can touch dragonflies, or catch fireflies, you can dance under the stars or talk to the moon....... And no one in the world needs to know....It'll just be your little secret. We discovered the magic of The Barn a few years ago and look forward now, each year, to our return. Sean and Leslie are remarkable hosts, allowing you to unwind and relax and just 'be' at your own pace. There is a sense of wonder when you stay on Schooner Point, a place where your imagination can run wild, or just wander endlessly on the beach, enjoy amazing sunrises and spectacular sunsets, even a stormy day is mesmerizing..... We've always felt that BI is a place to runaway to, now we feel like we're headed in the exact right direction when we land on the doorstep of The Barn!!!!! In the words of WB Yates, "The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper." If you're thinking of spending time on Block Island, come and enjoy the 'magic' that 'is' The Barn at Schooner Point and 'let your senses grow sharper'!!! ~Enjoy~"

  • nice condo: immaculately clean and great location

"We liked the condo and it's actually nicer than it looks in the photos. It has a spacious first floor with a small kitchen and large dining and living room area. Upstairs is a nice bedroom with high ceilings and a sliding door to the deck. It was very, very clean and the location (maybe a .5 mile from old town) is great! The office building also has lounge areas, games, pool table and even bathrooms so you're able to shower and change there if you go to the beach on the day you check out."

  • Great to Get Away

"A bottle of champagne was waiting for us, as we were celebrating our 30th anniversary… very thoughtful. The view from the backyard was bucolic - onto nearby pastures and fields. Glad we had our car - it was close enough to town, but just far enough to be out of any bustle. Got to explore the island - bike and hike - and have a cozy place to come back to. Seems like the owners/managers have thought of most things a renter would want or need. We ate in. We ate out. Would be nice in the warmer months, with the fire pit in the back, too. Only drawback was the outside shower door banging almost constantly (and it was latched!)."

  • Happy Dog

"Breathtaking sunsets set to a sound track of birds, crickets, cows, distant surf and sea bells. We never repeat vacations but have made our reservations for 2018. Had a great time having our dog with us, and he loved it. We did a number of geocaches and though we didn't find each cache we found beautiful vistas all over the Island and then came back to the Lewis farm for the best view of all. One warning if you're over 6 foot watch your head going into the kitchen. The Lewis's were charming and we felt honored to be on the property of a family that has such a legacy in preserving the Island."
