  • The best rental yet!

"My family and I are very familiar with VRBO as this was our 6th time renting. By far, this was the best experience we had with the property exceeding our expectations and the fondness we developed for the owners. Traveling with 2 teenage girls, this cabin provided us with privacy and just enough room to space out but still feel like we were on vacation together. The cabin had everything you could think of to make meal prep (and baking) easy. We enjoy cooking together on vacations and did so, even used the gas grill on the patio. The washer and dryer also allowed us to pack light and do our laundry before going home! The cabin is decorated beautifully and clean to my standards which are extremely high. We have rented other places only to clean before we unpack! You are very secluded with only Dave and Carol as neighbors. They are most gracious and available for any questions you may have. We enjoyed their company over wine one of our evenings, and found they are truly fascinating people. The beach is a 10 min walk or 5 min drive. There is no parking at the beach so my husband would drop us off with our gear, park the car at the cabin and walk down. Other days we rode bikes. Dave has 2 for use and we brought 2 of our own. Newport is about 40 mins or so, and we spent 2 days there exploring the mansions which was our main reason for visiting the area. We also went on a foodie tour and sampled local bites at several restaurants as well as learned Newport history. Another day we spent in Mystic, CT which was only about a 30 min drive. We absolutely would recommend this property for people who love to travel rather than take "vacations". You won't be disappointed"

  • Fabulous Thanksgiving weekend at this beautiful spot!

"This was an ideal home for our family get-together. The house was perfect for our big group, with great gathering spaces, open floor design, deck, and lovely views of the pond with its Trumpeter swans. We even saw a kingfisher! We would have used the fire pit, but the weather was too damp. It was a short walk to the beach which was almost deserted and such fun for the little ones. The house was exceptionally clean and bedrooms were tastefully decorated with great beds and linens. The space was perfect for our family of two grandparents and our three daughters and spouses and their little ones. Rooms were uncluttered with plenty of floor space for one baby who has just learned to walk, and one baby learning to crawl. It was fun to prepare dinner in the big kitchen with space at the counter for people to talk. Dining room table was good size for eating and playing games. Chris was a great communicator before we arrived, and greeted us and showed us around. She provided some extra things that we needed...porta-crib, stroller, and mixer. We would have been very happy just staying at the house, but took excursions to Newport to the Aquarium and the Cliff Walk, and had a great Indian meal at Maharajah in Narragansett. We couldn't have been happier with our choice to stay here. It is a wonderful place to make memories. We took our family Christmas photo there on the deck with the pond, the grasses, and the setting sun!"

  • We love it here!

"We love Bonnet! This home was perfect for our family of 5! It was a quick bike ride to and from Kelly beach. The home had an outdoor shower which made it quick and easy to get all the sand off from our daily beach visits. It was a very hot mugy 1st week and the air conditioners in each room made it comfortable. The open kitchen dinning and living room was perfect for family time each night, we played board games together and watch the Olympic Games. Brickleys ice cream was a fun after dinner treat, we also went to the coast guard house for dinner and seaside on the pier, walked the small shops and enjoyed the sunset view. One day we took a break from the beach and drove to the mystic aquarium in CT, beautiful place great for kids, we all enjoyed it very much. Roches market had great fresh meats which I picked up daily for dinner and grilled. One night we took the kids to adventure land for mini golf, and bumper boats, warning, you get really wet! I would recommend this home for a rental, I know I will be back next year. Thank you for having such a wonderful place for my family to stay and enjoy RI!"

  • Family retreat-2016

"I couldn't figure out why there were no ratings! My stay at this lovely, clean, quaint house/cottage was my favorite stay. The manager Annemarie couldn't have been more accommodating, & helpful. Several times I text her with questions and answered very quickly. We had a minor glitche and the problem was rectified quickly also. The location is perfect, we took the ferry to Martha's Vineyard, went to Newport several times just miles away to both. Cleanliness and location is vital for me and this was perfect!! The restaurants were all good, 1230 ocean, Aunt Carries, Spain, Matunik Oyster Bar & Ocean 40 that's just a few. I would definitely recommend this property to everyone... We had 4 people and plenty of room for more. My family and I enjoyed our stay here and are looking forward to booking it again next year! Mjjm..."
