  • Great multi-generational family vacation retreat

"My family of two daughters, sons in law and my grandsons enjoyed a very special week at Kismet. The house is beautifully appointed, with areas we could all be together comfortably (kitchen, living room, spacious deck, pool area) and other semi-private areas where you could visit in smaller groups. The grounds are beautiful, from the koi pond with blooming lotus and a small waterfall, the pool and large yard with full growth trees. Jamestown is a charming, quieter island alternative to Newport and Narragansett with lovely restaurants, great cycling, kayaking, walking trails, fresh fish and vegetables, and lovely views everywhere. We would love to return next summer."

  • Amazing waterfront home!

"My family and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about our stay in this beautiful waterfront home. From my first contact with Kathy about our interest in renting her house, through our entire stay, Kathy was always very responsive, kind and helpful. And the place itself was absolutely stunning! So clean and beautifully decorated - we felt at home as soon as we got there and we were pleasantly surprised by the generous gift of wine that Kathy had left for us. And the water view is amazing. My husband, mother and I spent most mornings enjoying the view with a cup of coffee on the lovely back porch and many evenings watching the sailboats cruise by as we discussed all the fun things we had done that day and awaited the amazing sunsets. And there’s so much to do nearby. There is a wonderful paved walking/biking path virtually right outside the door which goes for miles along the water past beautiful homes and gardens. This path also makes the walk to downtown Warren very easy and scenic and this small town, along with nearby Bristol, offers many wonderful waterfront restaurants and unique shops. We were also able to take quick and easy day trips to Newport and Block Island - both definitely worth the visit. I’m not sure when we’ll get a chance to get back to Rhode Island but if we ever do we’ll definitely make every effort to stay in this beautiful home again!"

  • Remodeled farmhouse reflects the generosity and kindness of the host. 100 stars

"We had a wonderful experience over the Christmas weekend in the farmhouse. The host is considerate, generous and kind. The remodeled farmhouse reflects his warmth and hospitality. It has been carefully renovatedwith comfort and convenience in mind, without destroying the fundamental character of the old, old, old farmhouse. The livingroom has been opened up to create comfortable and friendly visiting spaces. The modern stove cooks efficiently and quickly, but is tricky to operate for a less tech-savvy person, however, the kitchen is surprisingly well-stocked and much better than my own. We got immediate and efficient help for a problem we had with a wifi issue from a responsible surrogate he appointed when he was away. We felt safe and comfortable. We didn't know what to expect, but we each vote 100 stars for our short, but delightful visit. We each had a chance to visit with the chickens in the back too. Thank you very much!"

  • Great experience

"Lovely home and location. Interior outfitted to make one feel right at home. Back yard was perfect for several challenging croquet matches. The sunsets from the deck made our martinis taste better than ever. For sight seeing, the walks at Fort Wetherill State Park, casual dining at Fish in Jamestown, taking the ferry across Narragansett Bay, or upscale dining at 41 North in Newport were all great."
