  • Cozy, convenient location, good parking

"Very well maintained property in convenient location to downtown Newport. Quiet neighborhood. Great harbor views are steps away. Two parking places - a scarce commodity in Newport."

  • AMAZING HOME AND OWNERS

"Beth and John are fantastic to work with. I dealt mostly with Beth and she was very responsive and provided the details I needed to make my visit one to remember. To say their house is perfect is an understatement. The house has all the accommodations of home. It is nicely furnished and extremely clean (actually it is spotless). Beth and John provide you with the bed linens and bath towels. They have thought of the fundamental kitchen tools, dishes, utensils and cooking needs so that you do not have to take too many things with you. My favorite room to sleep in was the front room, it has windows on three sides which provides a nice breeze throughout the night and the smell of fresh ocean air is so refreshing. The larger bedroom (with queen bed) has an amazing breeze so that it almost feels air conditioned in there. The house was so open that we actually needed to put on a sweatshirt a few nights but that was such a refreshing change from the city heat (we opted for sweatshirts rather than closing any of the many windows). The house is on a corner lot which provides you with a significant amount of room, lots of privacy and more than enough parking spots (a number of the other houses in this area are very close together and do not provide you with this luxury). There is a short walk to a beautiful private beach, to a small public beach (the dog beach) and to the lighthouse (all of which I would suggest). The rooftop deck is great for watching the beautiful sunsets and for star gazing at night. The front deck is a nice place for you to eat lunch or dinner or to just relax and read a book (watching the sun come up from there is a treat also). At least once during your visit you must take an outdoor shower. It feels great and they have both hot and cold running water. The private beach is a very short walk away. It is nice to be able to get up in the morning and walk to a beach which is NEVER over crowded or noisy. Regardless of the time you decide to make your way down to the beach there is always a spot available for you to lay your blanket down. The water was warm on my visit and I spent a significant amount of time sitting in a tube just soaking up the sun. If I could provide more than a 5 star rating I would. This was certainly a trip to remember. Very relaxing and their home felt like home the minute we walked through the front door! Thank you John and Beth for a trip for the record books."

  • Great stay in Newport!

"It was freezing cold this weekend, but we still had a great weekend in Newport. This house is very close to downtown restaurants and tonthe mansions on Bellevue. The house was quiet, well maintained and was a very comfortable place to spend the weekend."
