  • Peaceful Newport retreat

"Myself, my husband and dogs stayed for the week at Kathy's cottage. We found that cottage to be very peaceful, quiet and relaxing. As seniors with busy careers and a new grandchild, peaceful was exactly what we needed! The cottage is in a quiet neighborhood very close to the ocean and a lovely park for walking the dogs or just sitting and looking at the boats and water. I especially appreciated the shabby chic decor, quality furnishings and linens. Although in a close neighborhood, the backyard feels secluded. We could see the roof tops but not neighbors, which was great. It was also very quiet at night allowing us to eat outside in a very private setting with the smell of the trees, plants and ocean - a real treat. Kathy was also very responsive and gracious, it was good to know that she was available if there was an issue of question. We hope to visit the cottage again next year given circumstances. We have both sons getting married in 2017 - one is looking at a Newport wedding! Thank You Kathy for your lovely home and allowing our dogs to vacation with us."

  • Porch views dreams are made of!

"No where else can you rent a gorgeous Victorian Jamestown home with views of the Pell bridge, Rose Island Lighthouse, Fort Adams, Kling Stone, Jamestown harbor and the list goes on! Our family spent an amazing week here in June and can't wait to book again for next year! We played bocce in the yard while watching a colorful sunset over the harbor, we walked to Narragansett Cafe for drinks and live jazz music, ate amazing Italian dinner at Simpatico and bought lobsters off the dock from Steve the Lobster Man! We visited breathtaking parks at Fort Wetherill and Beavertail and watched the Newport to Bermuda sailboat race. We also enjoyed delicious wines at nearby Newport and Greenvale Vineyards. Truly an epic vacation. Thanks so much Libby, we can't thank you enough for allowing us the privilege to stay at the Middle Sister!"

  • Small, simple, clean

"This property was extremely clean with two upstairs bedrooms and a bathroom, and a very small downstairs space. The host provided 4 sets of clean towels which was much appreciated. Everything in the kitchen/downstairs is miniature. There is a small couch with a table and a couple chairs that overlook a small outdoor patio space. Watch your head when climbing the stairs - anyone over 5'8" is almost guaranteed to hit their head once or twice! Overall, very quaint and simple. Good if you don't plan on spending much time there, just as a "home base" to leave your stuff and explore Newport. Has its own private entrance which is really convenient. Parking is easy - no permit needed, usually spots available in front of the house or at the side. Takes about 10 minutes to walk into the main part of town (and just 5 minutes from other small streets with cafes and shops), making it a great location. Also about a 20 minute walk to where the mansions begin."

  • Great location!

"We rented the Inn Bliss for a girl's weekend in August. Nick was very accommodating to our arrival time, as most of our party could not arrive until later in the evening. Each one of us had our own bed, which was nicely made up with sheets, pillow cases and blankets! We also each had a towel set to use for the weekend. We didn't have to pack any linens- it was great! The entire house has AC, which was a pleasant surprise upon our arrival. It definitely made sleeping very comfortable! The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, dishware, etc- everything you could ever need is provided! Upon arrival, Nick showed two of us around the entire house. He made sure we knew how everything worked. He even sat with us and explained a map of the area, suggesting things to do and places to go for the weekend. There was even a plate of home made chocolate chip cookies upon arrival :) There was an issue with the mail delivery and Nick receiving my check. Long story short, my check got lost in the mail, and Nick even covered the $30 stop fee I was charged from my bank! Nick was accessible by phone the entire weekend. We happened to blow a fuse. I texted Nick, and he responded quickly telling me how to fix the problem. Power was restored! Thanks for a great weekend!!"
