  • Fabulous Thanksgiving weekend at this beautiful spot!

"This was an ideal home for our family get-together. The house was perfect for our big group, with great gathering spaces, open floor design, deck, and lovely views of the pond with its Trumpeter swans. We even saw a kingfisher! We would have used the fire pit, but the weather was too damp. It was a short walk to the beach which was almost deserted and such fun for the little ones. The house was exceptionally clean and bedrooms were tastefully decorated with great beds and linens. The space was perfect for our family of two grandparents and our three daughters and spouses and their little ones. Rooms were uncluttered with plenty of floor space for one baby who has just learned to walk, and one baby learning to crawl. It was fun to prepare dinner in the big kitchen with space at the counter for people to talk. Dining room table was good size for eating and playing games. Chris was a great communicator before we arrived, and greeted us and showed us around. She provided some extra things that we needed...porta-crib, stroller, and mixer. We would have been very happy just staying at the house, but took excursions to Newport to the Aquarium and the Cliff Walk, and had a great Indian meal at Maharajah in Narragansett. We couldn't have been happier with our choice to stay here. It is a wonderful place to make memories. We took our family Christmas photo there on the deck with the pond, the grasses, and the setting sun!"

  • Even better than the pictures!

"We spent a lovely two weeks in this quiet home--only a two-minute drive to the beach. Although we could have easily gone to the main Scarborough parking lot, we usually parked in the unmarked lot on Ocean Road (straight across from Clarke Road) and took a brief walk down the path to Scarborough beach. If we wanted a little longer walk along an ocean path, we parked at the Black Point lot and took the path to the right to reach Scarborough. Gorgeous views on this route! We went fishing with Frances Fleet out of Galilee (maybe two miles away) to catch fluke and sea bass. Our favorite restaurant was the Bike Stop Cafe (excellent fish tacos, pizza, burgers, etc.), and we made many trips to Starbucks (less than 10 minutes away). Lots of great places to bicycle. We all appreciated the central air. Overall, a perfect vacation!"

  • Location, Location, Location

"This property is so close to beaches, morning coffee, lunch spots and shops. The owner is extremely nice and very helpful with navigating the area. There is plenty of outdoor space at the cottage to cook out and hang out as well and a great screened in porch."

  • Convenient, clean and clearly updated

"Nice place and host but missing some finishing touches like wash clothes and rugs . Room was really nice with an awesome outdoor deck. Couldn't get tv to work though."
