  • Summer Bliss

"Our family just completed another great week of vacation at High Point. This unique property is situated to provide 340 degree water views while still affording privacy. There are two patios/decks that let you enjoy the sunshine as you dine or sit and relax while watching the boats pass by. The property is well maintained with lovely flower gardens everywhere you look. It is a cozy and inviting place to vacation. Lots of kitchen supplies and a gas grill for the cook. East Matunuck beach is literally minutes away, but we recommend you take an extra 15 minutes to visit East Beach which is less crowded but equally beautiful. Get there early as parking is limited. Don't miss the Matunuck Oyster bar for great seafood. The Block Island Ferry is close by for an easy day trip. We look forward to visiting High Point again soon."

  • Beautiful, Peaceful Home Away From Home

"We had a fantastic time and miss being here so much. The owner and property managers were so thoughtful and took such good care of us during our extended stay. This place is a perfect retreat for anyone looking to enjoy quick access to the best of Rhode Island from an intimate, private location. My wife and I and our two baby girls enjoyed strolls around the neighborhood, when we'd always see and hear the birds from nearby Norman Bird Sanctuary. We'd often see bluejays and cardinals - what a treat! The house faces east, so you can see the sunrise over the beautiful property across the street and the gorgeous sunset from the magnificent backyard. Inside, the house is extremely comfortable. There's plenty of seating in the dining room, as well as a bit more seating in an eat-in kitchen. We'd often have friends and family visit from nearby and we had fantastic times in all the space the house has to offer. The neighbors were always warm and friendly. Inside the house the owner had great leads on local hotspots in the form of a tall mural listing spots his family would enjoy. Whenever we wondered what to do around town, we'd often check that mural for inspiration. Nearby, we'd often grab ice cream from Frosty Freez or take the girls to Sweet Berry Farms and a very toddler friendly Howland Park. Third Beach is super close, and Downtown Newport is a quick drive or even better: quick uber. We really loved it here and made some very precious memories. We can't wait to return."

  • We stayed from Aug1-15 . The house was clean and comfortable

"We were a party of 9,mix adults and children. The very first thing you notice is the breath taking views of the cove and ocean beyond from every window. We all enjoyed walking down to the cove ,the kids loved looking for sea glass , small smooth stones and driftwood. The house's yard faced the cove, was great for relaxing in the late afternoon or early evening after a day at the town beach. The kids enjoyed the beach and yard as well . They liked kite flying and games of tag in the constant breeze we all enjoyed in the yard. The location was perfect too. Some of us went to Newport and others took the children to Battle Ship Cove on our rainy day. A trip later in the week to the Whaling Museum and lunch at the Sakonet Winery al fresco rounded out two beautiful weeks. I enjoyed having coffee every morning in the kitchen and watching the sun come up over the Atlantic in utter peace and quiet. The setting of the house is perfect, The Community of Little Compton is charming. If there is a draw back it this, although there is plenty of town beach space during the week if you plan to use the town beach on Saturday or Sunday arrive early."

  • Great deal, good hosts!

"The owner was very easy to speak with and contact. We brought our dog and they were more than accommodating to her. The pictures were exactly as the rental is. There is no queen bed at the location, which for a tall man was hard to sleep in the beds, but in a cape style home I couldn't expect any less. The owner was honest enough to let me know I overpaid and sent a check to me for the refund. It was awaiting in the mailbox upon my arrival home. Overall a great and pleasurable experience. It was extremely clean and smelled great upon arrival. Could not tell pets had been there previously. Would definitely rent again."
