  • Neat and clean!

"There are not many rentals that will allow pets. This house was perfect for our little dog, nothing for her to get into or worry about! Deck is large, laundry available, owner is easy to work with and responds quickly. Bunk house was not finished when we were there, but we didn't need it."

  • Great cottage

"Very nice and clean cottage. Close to the freeway and attractions. Saw lots of lighthouses along the Rhode Island and Connecticut coasts. Also went to Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard. Had a great dinner at Matunuck Oyater Bar."

  • Very Comfortable and has many things so you don't have to bring them with you.

"The home itself was wonderful. The central air was very much appreciated, since it was very hot when we were there. I really liked that things such as dishwasher soap and detergent for the laundry and even plastic wrap and food storage bags were provided. There were sand toys and beach towels to take to the beach. I appreciated the washer and dryer and all the towels. Overall the house was very clean upon arrival. However, this home needs some TLC. The bathrooms are outdated and need to be updated badly. For example, the shower head and the pipe, fell off in the shower when someone was taking a shower. The yard needs attention, there is a place to sit, but it is not at all inviting or taken care of. That's because they are out in the weather all the time, and it shows. The furniture in the living room should be replace as it isn't very comfortable. It has hardwood and tile floors except for the stairs, and they are stained and dirty. I would say overall I would give it 3.5 stars, but because of the positives that we did appreciate, I gave it 4. Lastly, the location isn't the greatest. You DO have to drive everywhere you want to go. It is located in a strictly residential community. Getting around meant getting in and out of the car. Not something I am fond of."

  • Summer celebration

"With too-many-to-mention-celebrations, my family and I rented this property from Tom and Christine with plans to host friends and family over the course of the summer week. It was delightful in every way. We shared both cottages and had ample room and ammentities. The location is perfect, the views are magical, and the attention to our comfort was unsurpassed. Tom droped in from time to time to share a story or two and mentioned that often people hesitate to rent the property believing the nearby road, parking lot and marina would be too noisy. Be assured, this is a quiet, peaceful property but it is hardly isolated. There is plenty to do in the area; the beach is a short walk, the ice cream shop (and crab pond) are on the property, the Matunuck Oyster Bar is across the street and Capt'n Jacks is a few steps away. It was an Uber ride to Newport and a quick drive to Point Judith for the ferry to Block Island. If you're looking for a place that venturing out is not part of your plan, this is also it! The cottages have kitchens, barbeque grills and kyacks. A short drive to TF GReen Airport and an even shorter drive to the Kingston Amtrack Station made it convenient to all our out of state guests, who all raved at my "great find." A good time ws had by all."
