  • Charm and a great location

"Classic Newport home with very nice up to date and open kitchen, plus large bathrooms. A huge plus in Newport is parking, and this home has its own spot. An easy walk to all main areas of town with several very good restaurants very close by."

  • Beautiful and relaxing...

"First of all, working with the owner, Andrew, was a pleasure. Always upfront in his expectations of me, and the wonderful features of his home. What a beautiful and relaxing view of the Sakonnet Bay. Coffee and breakfast on the patio each morning with that wonderful view was the start to each and every invigorating day we stayed there. All of the amenities described in the posting were as advertised... beds were very comfortable, kitchen and living areas were relaxing and updated. Beautiful flowers and gardens surround the home and make it a very picturesque home. The public beaches were easily accessible with a short walk or drive, and a drive in to Newport itself was 10-15 minutes. Thanks Andrew for a great 4th of July week! We had a blast and a much needed re-charging of batteries."

  • Classic Rhode Island Shore Cottage

"My husband, 25 yr. old daughter, and I stayed in the cottage with another couple for a weekend beach getaway. Located in a private community, called Shady Harbor, on what locals call Quonny Pond, the neighborhood has the quintessential look and feel of a shore neighborhood, perfect for ambling and strolling about. The cottage was charming, immaculate and the perfect base to enjoy the private beach, only 5-10 mins. away, plus nearby Westerly, one of our favorite towns in Rhode Island. The cottage comes with a guest pass to the beach and the host provides the essential amenities: chairs along with a medley of "playthings" that are kept in the garage. We started each morning with a visit to a must-stop, Dave's Coffee Shop, located only mins. from the cottage. In addition to the superb coffee, be sure to treat yourself to their generous and delicious muffins. When we weren't at the beach, we spent time cycling on the lovely roads both in/around the shore and also thru Burlingame State Preserve, visiting a craft beer brewery in Westerly and also relaxing at the cottage, over a perfect summer meal. Using the gas grill provided by the host, our meal was complemented by fresh picked corn from a farm right around the corner All in all, we enjoyed a wonderful summer getaway at 19 Lou Ave."
